ok.... heres a question- is ginger an oegb or a modern?? i can't remember, got her at NEOCS- and her two girls- hatched from the first eggs i got from her

We are trying to get things lined up for next spring and looking for a gently used cabinet incubator, Sportsman 1502 style or similar. Willing to pick up within a couple of hours of Tulsa. Anyone looking to sell one or know a place I could start looking? I could attend some auctions but I don't know if it is worth my time. Do these come up at auctions frequently or rarely? Keeping an eye on Craigslist is the only route I know, trying to list in a chicken trade group on Facebook as well. Send me a message if you have any connections I could use!

Mitzi. Ginger red is an Old English Game variety. It is not a Modern game color.
Those girls look like they might have some Spangled in their background.
This link has a really user friendly breed list with all varieties recognized by the SOP

Cabinet incubators do come across the auction table at times. The prices are all over the map & most of the time they go higher than Craigslist prices. Every now & then one goes cheap, but it's pretty rare. I bought 2 cabinet incubators off Craigslist. Only recommendation is be ready cash in hand at any moment. Good luck finding a deal on a good incubator.

Thanks, that's why I am looking NOW for something we want to have up and running next SPRING! Good to know about the auction prices. We have been watching them on Craigslist for a few months now to feel out prices and just got the money we needed Thursday, called today on the one we were watching for 3 weeks and it sold THIS MORNING, so disappointing. But someone local saw this post and already messaged me, so I'm crossing my fingers it's what we are looking for!

A couple of weeks ago there was a discussion on this thread about Antibiotics that work well on stubborn cough/rattles but I can't remember what the name of the meds that were recommended. I have two birds that can't seem to get rid of their "colds". I tried Tylan 50 but they still rattle sometimes. Does anyone have any suggestions?
