Beautiful birds!
Ouchie!! Goodness...Guineas are vicious, ungrateful little <expletive deleted>s. Something attacked my guineas two days ago and I found a pile of feathers and two fewer guineas than I had the night before. The remaining ones have wisely started going into the chicken coop with the young cockerels at night. Well, today one of the missing guineas turned up limping but alive. I caught it at sundown and brought it in to examine it. It had no damage to the legs which surprised me. I found two small puncture wounds, one under each wing and put neosporin on them. Then I turned it over and was SHOCKED to see that something had managed to take a huge bite out of its back, but leave most of its feathers intact so that I hadn't noticed it while carrying it into the house. I cleaned it up, and slathered neosporin on it. Upon completion, the guinea promptly BIT ME IN THE FREAKING FACE. Grrrrr. It's in a cage with food and water now. Stupid guinea.
Good morning Robin and good morning to all! It looks like the front is moving in as predicted by the weather guessers.....I hope we get a little rain out of this.
I have already been down to feed and water the birds and there is nothing else to do today but to kick back and relax. I hope y`all have a great day!

good morning everyone! gonna be putting up plastic around the smaller coops for our temps- wish they were all in completely enclosed coops, but if i make a small sleeping area that i can close them in at nite? these are my porch bantams
That's a really cool flyer. Way cool! And I HATE this weather! It's always the birds I worry about.Well, I got a good start on the privacy fence (finally). All this digging is making me wish I could afford to have someone install it for me... But I'll be more proud of the work this way... right?
For anyone who might have been wondering- my upside down duck's injuries healed very nicely. I haven't found her upside down lately. And I think it's a her at this point because I haven't seen any drake feathers and "she" is nearly 2 months old now.
Sorry I haven't been around much. I have been stalking around and looking at your beautiful bird photos though. I've been working like crazy and preparing for my capstone art show.
Oh! And one last thought- I'm LOVING this crazy Oklahoma weather! : )
