Hi luv2, what kind of stuff did they have for sale, did Carla sell all her turkeys? I hauled a load of scrap metal today, went to Atwood's, got a new water hose, planted cukes and Gbeans, mowed the whole yard, and I am tired, wanted to go to the Blanchard auctions but low on funds and pens so best to stay away and get stuff done here. LOL Lynn

Well today I didnt almost get smooshed by watermelons. We had a heck of a busy day. Beer was running out of the store as fast as it was coming in. I sure hate working these "holidays" like this. Id rather be the one going to the lake or river with all the beer and meat to grill. Kinda odd having puppies in the house for 8 weeks oly to have them all gone at once, wife misses them. I miss them but im glad there gone

Im confident they all went to excellent homes so that makes it much easier to let them go. Im finaly confident my silkies are old enough to come out of the shop and into a 10x10x8 dog kennel I have. Gotta get teh wife to help me move again

Of couse I need to pick up a roll of 1-2 feet chicken wire to run along the bottom so I dont get any escaped silkies.

Rain is one thing, but I need an ARK!!!!. I know all the herbs are gone for sure, those seeds are as small as a speck of pepper, and only planted 1/8" deep. Laura dumped $60.00 bones just on tomatoes, for the second time, if they don't make it after the next couple of days of run for hills storms, I have had it, Oklahoma can have the darn garden.

Al, my uncle and I planted ten acres of produce for a few years and did pretty good at selling stuff, we usually put in 1500 tomatoe plants 500 bell peppers, 500 zuccini squash, 100 yellow squash, 50 hills of cucumbers,an acre of sweet corn and of cantelopes, plus a couple of acres of different stuff like, turnips, beets, green beanr, black eyed peas, okra and other stuff, we never planted any tomaqtoes till after the first of May as we were told by an old gentleman that had done the same as us for most of his life, when stuff started slowing down we tilled it in and planted for fall, we always used lots of mulch on our tomatoes.
I just don't have the energy to do it anymore or I would be, I really enjoyed it when I was younger, Lynn

Just ran another turn around the property searching for missing polack....I was thinking maybe it roosted somewhere. The last time I looked we were 20% chance of rain... now we are t 80% chance of heavy rain.... it will drown if it's out there. I can't imagine it leaving the other polacks... they run as a crowd.

Remember that neighbor family that the dad and three kids were killed in a car accident a month or so ago? The Mom is still in ICU in OKC... they have three older sons, and it is the saddest thing. About a week ago my neighbors dog got torn up by the boy's pit bulls that run loose. Then amazingly enough the house got broken into...I finally saw two of the boys when I was mowing my neighbor's land. They are gangster types that wouldn't even raise a hand to me when I waved at them as they flew by in their mom's brand new Silverado. Then friday the youngest got arrested for possession. Well I came home from my Mom's last week and it loked like something tried to tear into my coop. There was a good dent in the fence and some wire was torn.... I asked my neighbor if she had seen anything and she said just the boy's 3 pits running around. She said that she was gonan talk to them since they had torn up her dog...I told her to tell them if I see them around my pen I was gonna shoot them..... They are still loose...running around. My neighbor's dog keeps them away for the most part... but I'm gonna make them swiss cheese if I see them. They boys were supposed to tie them up... but they haven't... I think they are dealers....
