I rarely use the hatching tray...but that is because I am a dork! Sounds like the right plan to me! Just watch that vent hole on the bottom...stupid quail get out of it and run around the house and make wives really really really mad!

Hey guys... hatching question?
found an egg under broody that looked cracked/smished. This is day 18 do I leave it there...Is it hatching? Or should I get rid of it? I don't feel movement in the egg or hear peeping.....

We only had ten quail eggs in there but nine hatched and I think the tenth one is one Jared slipped in later.
Thanks for the bator info. i don't have it full but there are still quite a few eggs in each tray. Now if every chick will stay where it hatches I will know what is what.

Night folks! Noon is gonna come darn early! Yeah right! I have two boys that start banging around way to early! Keeps me from being worthless! Think I will fix some stuff for school so I can move them out and have my garage back!
