After all we learned this past week about the dangers of snake bite, I thought this article was interesting

Man saves dog by sucking snake venom from his nose

CHEYENNE, Wyo. - A man said he saved his dog's life after sucking venom from a rattlesnake bite out of the animal's nose. Bobby Jenkins said he began feeling ill after getting his dog, Tank, to a veterinarian. He went to the hospital and received a dose of antivenin.

In all, Jenkins needed four vials of antivenin at a cost of $3,500 per vial.

Meanwhile, Jenkins said his dog's head swelled up to three times its normal size. Tank had been bitten after running under some equipment on the family ranch.

The dog also received antivenin and both Jenkins and his dog have recovered.

Day 18 on my 11 bbs orp and 6 dutch eggs + 6 mutt and 4 mutt bantam eggs. All are in the hatcher and hoping for pips tommarow, i SOoo cannot wait for these buggars. I was feeling weird not having an incubator going (except hatcher) when i relized i got 70+ eggs in the cabinet bator behind me

Those are some truely sick people. They play games like clean a room and weigh the garbage...I don't get it...but we could play a game like clean your coop and weight the poop...put it in the garden and weigh the veggies!...or better yet! Skip the weighing and call all the POOPS folks over and have a BBQ...with lots of fried veggies...and shrooms!

I don't have a clue what color it was exactly - I took 4 Americaunas and put the best looking one (fewest broken back feathers) in a cage by itself and the other three in one cage. It probably didn't hurt that the one by itself laid an egg in the cage. Other than having blue gray on it, I don't think it was "laced"

My favorite color is the Wheaten, followed by the Blue and Splash. I like them because of the egg color, but also like for them to have a good beard.
