Okies in the BYC The Original

Good morning all! I am here waiting for my MIL to show up to help me get some things done. Being 9 months pregnant really makes it hard to get a lot done. I manage to feed the 7 horses that we have up at the house twice a day, take care of my chicks and chickens, water what little garden I have out and do laundry. That and take care of my almost 5 yo daughter. Things are getting kinda messy around here and I finally caved when my husband suggested letting his mom help out. He went out to Laverne/Rosston to help a friend brand calves. Then wants to catch a roping on his way back through Woodward. Hope he has fun. 'Cause Teach is hooking me up with some eggs/birds and then is helping me get some eggs/birds back from the NPIP get together. That'll show my husband how I get even.

I just posted a question about this in the OK auction thread. We want to go but were wondering if it is hard to find. I drove through Cement once while house hunting, but remember nothing about it. Must have blinked, I guess.

Soooo... I assume it is easy to find?

The sale is on main street, just go north on Main 3-4 blocks you will see a white bldg w/blue trim and lot's of pick-up's parked around. piece of cake starts at 5:00, see ya there.

Thanks! Sounds easy enough. So is this as involved as the Blanchard auction? Last time they were still going strong at 11 PM!

The Cement Auction is a great auction lot's of egg's, chicks, chickens, some rabbits. They sell some good misc poultry items and do not sell grandmas old shoes and any junk. It starts at 5:00 and goes till about 10:00 sometimes earlier, crowds range from 50-100 but not more than that, just a local hometown auction well run clean, nice though.

Buster :

You are just a stones throw away from me in Elgin. Cement should be a monthly thing for you as it is for me, Saturday night in smallville USA LOL what a riot.

Yup! I know Elgin well. We looked very closely at about six country properties in and around Elgin before settling on a Geronimo fixer upper. Even made offers on two, but they wouldn't come down to the price we wanted.

We're excited about getting over there tonight. Thanks for all the details. Glad they sell a few rabbits, as we are adding them to our menagerie next.

Morning and welcome.

Wished i could go to Cement, maybe if I tell Lynn we are going to sell some birds he will let me. Right now it is a No go for now. He has to move one more set of older chicks to the bed brooder and then I can get the OEG's moved into the tractor. Move both the tractors. Till the garden and fertilize it. You would think he would have time to go to Cement. Oh yea he has to make me a hatcher or 2 by next weekend. Oh yea and clean out the dove cage. I guess I can do that one.
Oh you say Oh Tina you can build that hatcher not a problem. Well I am not allowed to play with sharp objects or play with firecrackers. Let alone power tools. I tend to burn off areas of my body that should not be burned and cut off lots of skin.

WOW pretty quiet today.

I just went out and did a count on how many breeds. UGHHHHHHHHHH I need therapy. If I do not take into account the 3 or 4 different breeds of turkeys and 3 different breeds of guineas I have 10 different breeds af birds. NOT to mention the doves or the lone duck. I need therapy.

Oh a thought that didnt count the wellies and marans and barred rocks and.................I need therapy. No I need to downsize. HELPPPPPPPPPPPP
