ke_ben - if you are traveling by road and come through the panhandle...holler...I make a great meal for traveling types!...unless they have a potbellied pig. No pigs around around our place unless they are processed...wife's job.

Cleochick - are you tempting me? Trying to get me to come back for another visit!

You know the best thing about dating a pregnant chick? It ain't yours! That was wrong very wrong

If you end up with another calico...I would so love it
love.gif
Of course if you throw a little girl I would take that as well!

Apparently, I am stuck woth two boys

I wouldn't know what to do with a little girl except spoil her till she was a terror!

Don't know about the goat and milo thing. Goats are prone to that issue. Has to do with how their body processes food and such. Not usually a problem unless you really push them with feed...common with show goats

Sooner-do you have some good weeds for him to eat? Goats are just domesticated deer and really do better on 'free range' foraging and very little grain/bag feed. Good luck and sorry about that whole 'work' thing. I hate it when people use 4 letter words.

Thanks for the offer, I'm coming right down I-40 to Yukon. I'll be staying in between there, Chickasha, OKC, and Norman. My neighbor gave my wife the pig, he knows better than to talk to me about it. It was part of a joke for his construction sup and nobody else wanted it, imagine that! He delivered it with a few bales of alfalfa that out here don't run cheap. I said thanks for the hay but it doesn't make up for the pig.

I have heard that they aren't the best to eat, so I told her she ought to breed the girl and sell the babies to at least offset some feed cost. I not a big fan of just feeding something that doesn't return the favor, if you know what I mean.

Hey, did you see that watering system that I posted the link for ya?

I saw it...drooled...then woke-up! Wife limits the number of cool things I have! That would be neat...if only I found a sweet deal on ebay!

I am fairly far off of the interstate system! I guess I won't see ya. Do be careful.

Have heard that if you let the pot-bellied go wild...they taste better. There was a herd down around Canadian, TX. Apparently a breeder dumped their stock when the fad went down. They got aggressive...folks shot them and apparently they tasted better after a couple generations!

I don't think alfalfa and cheap can be used in the same sentence...or paragraph!...unless you put it ain't in there

It's a must have for me or the birds would die, can't keep the water full/cool unless that is your only job.

Try alfalfa at $15/bale.

I'll tell my wife about the pig wild thing. Do you really think she'll go for it?

Yes they have alot of grazing to do but I was feeding too. I have cut the food back (alot) and have added minerals. He is walking better today, you can tell he is still sore. He is going alittle more too (biger/longer stream) so things are looking up. The seem to really like the ash trees that are everywhere. I have been cutting them out of the soon to be new chicken pen for them to have along with what they have. Thanks for the help.

Glad he is doing ok Sooner. I know how to make it rain................water the garden. Sure did cool off things tho. I did manage to get the lil ones all covered up so they should be ok.

Ke_ben ya going to be in Norman? The Lexington auction is on Monday evenings starting at 7 pm. Send me a pm if you will go to that auction I will try to make it just to meet ya

Oh sure hope Monty is staying dry in this at Falls Creek. They were getting some pretty hard winds that way earlier.

Ha ha ha 40 % chance is what we had today.

The lex auction has not had much lately, not sure why? Monty will be back home by the time you come in and maybe we can get together for a meet up then. Monty and I along with sjarvis (aka Steph and Carl) only live about 10 miles from each other.

I picked up everything for the roof last weekend in amarillo.... Hahahah! It's all sitting in the garage.... That and all my fencing to enlarge the run.

A side note.... don't bother going to Amarillo to the Big Texan... I think they changed management. It was awful. Teach's steak was tough... the prime rib was tough and cold.... they guys at the table next to us were having trouble and the folks behind us were complaining.... I don't know what happened....there was a different manager and cook... Of course it was Sunday....I am going to follow up on the web. Sorry Teach shoulda gone to the Texas Roadhouse....

It's thundering again.... I just looked at the radar and it was clear....man... it's really loud rumbles... shaking my whole house....Hope chicks go back in....

Henny - while the food wasn't great....the company was outstanding...should have left some of them out standing in the parking lot!

Cheap joke but that is all I get these days.

I think it sprinkled here. We are gonna do a fast practice before Bible study. I have major peeping going on!!! Got a bunch of little quail chickies! Then I have bought eggs hatching...quail and something else that involved numbers...reall should have kept that info
