Gonna be a hot one today. Hubby stayed home nad I have some chores to do outside. ICK. It is too hot to be working out there....but I have to do some security detail and ventilation tweaks on the coop for summer. Still haven't got the mist system up. Need to wash trucks. And mow the neighbors *sigh* It seems I am never caought up....

Luvs2b.... Keep hanging in there... make sure you get enough rest yourself. God is faithful and will be your rock and fortress....holler if ya need anything...I'm still praying for you guys.

Everybody take care... hope Al is drinking water and hanging in the shade some...

Good Morning all!! Welcome new members. YOu will be told we are all loonies, don't believe them. Just cause we talk to our birds doesn't make us crazy!

Hope everyone has a great day! I know it's hot but hey if it weren't hot it would be cold and we would still not like it. I am a summer time girl so I am happy!

Good morning fellow Poopsters!!! I found this little cartoon and wanted to share it if I can get it transferred, here goes!!!

I love my job I love my job I love my job I love my job
God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow,
sun without rain, But he did promise strength for the day, comfort for the
tears, and light for the day.
If God brings you to it, He will bring your thru it.

Don't know if the cartoon part came through but the saying is really good too.
Henny do you have any pics of my little EEs????
Have a great day and stay cool all, Lynn

well the only thing i got going right now is for butcher birds.everything else has slowed down alot.the only thing i been buyin has ben cheap roosters. i got plenty muscovy ducklings if anyones lookin about 60 right now an more hatchin in a couple days

Monty :

Chicks were selling a tad low at Cement depending on breed, but still were bringing between $ .80-1.50 ea, I sold 20 mutts last month that brought $2.00 ea but they were sold near the end with the grown chickens because I put them in a cage instead of a box, I think it made a little differance to work the crowd some.

Both of them.

Been checking your website for updates and market reports. [Hint hint.]

Well I have another big Incubator project planned, like I need more things to keep me busy LOL. Here it is.

My good Okie BYC buddy Bill Bailey had this one laying around his place for a few years and was not being used, He asked me if I would like a new project, of course I said yes. It is a KUHL Commercial Emu/Ostrich Hatcher is 4' tall x 3' deep x 2' wide is a monster that weighs about 150 lbs empty. I plan to convert it into a chicken incubator with turners, The capacity when finished should be close to about 700-800 or more eggs. I hooked it up and the major componants do work but all need some major wiring repair and the major parts need to be pulled and repaired, the box itself will need some major work but looks pretty good already. It comes with a super high speed electronic Temp & humidity controls with a great fan and ventilation system and is in no way similar to a GQF Sportsman but above and beyond their quality. So here is a few photos, tell me what you think of it, it may take a few months but I will get it handled.

I am really excited to get started on this one as it looks like it could be my dream Bator that would serve me well for a long time. The only problem is I will need some help filling it LOL. Thats where you guy's come in.

Wow Al! 700 to 800 eggs! You will be a professional hatcher for sure. Sure wish I lived next door to you! I am sure you would be my very best friend every hatching season!Lol. Well the most part is already built so looks like you just need to do some tweaking and you will be ready to roll. That will really be a nice set up. Will you use as a setter only and hatch in something else?

Amazing!! What will your energy backup be? I think it would be devastating to lose a hatch so large if the power spiked or went out completely.
