After reading all the posts and stuff... I really don't see how we could have caught this stuff from chickens.... I don't know what it is...or where it's from, but it's horrible. AND Mike got it first!!!! LOL.....

Ahhhh........Thunder........ zzzzzzzzz

Okiegirl - Am soooo happy for you ! I remember it well............
Grew up in Broken Arrow, married and ended up spending
14 years south of Little Rock, 1 year in Louisiana (Lousy-ana),
2 years in Kansas, and finally made it back to Oklahoma !!!!!!
There's not enough dynamite to get me outta here again !!!!

Oh, I'll fuss about the weather like everyone else, but then,
I consider the alternatives..........LOL

Henny - has it ever occured to you that you might be keeping
stuff toooooo clean? Ya know, little kids HAVE to eat some
sand, dirt, dog food, gold fish (well, TJ did...LOL)....remember
when that "Goldfish Crackers" commercial first came out?

There are several summer viruses going around....but sure
sounds like this one is trying to hang on to you for some
reason. You may need a round of antibiotics to get rid of it.
Take care.

Have a good one !

Henny-I'm a little late on the prayer, but AMEN. BTW, dampen that acoustic ceiling spray with a spray bottle and will come right off with a dull putty knife or spatula with no effort at all.

Thanks for the safe arrival wishes. I don't know if I'll ever catch up with everything from vacation but at least I have a better chance to sleep, off the road. My wife is finally feeling better, she felt bad from being sick and worse because she didn't get to go.

Have a great week Okies. Sorry that I missed you at Lexington Stimpy.

Glad ya made it back safe and sound. Your poor wife.... That always happens. You wait forever to do something then BANG! We are going to try to go to Dallas this weekend to visit our friends. Hopefully I will feel better by then.

Have scraped many a ceiling. Only hard thing is keeping your arms in the air all day. Last year I did most of the house in a week. What a difference. I live in the country....then the windows the house came with are not tight at all... so I get these little bitty spiders (There's a song in there somewhere). They love that sprayed on ceiling...so it is war. So far with Ortho and a scraper I'm winning. Barely.

We had some rain this morning... should make for a humid afternoon.

hi everyone, has anyone dealt with a chick with botulism? i am almost certain that is what is going on with spike- since the symptoms started saturday and he is still fighting, i am giving him his chance- i am giving him vitamins, e, yogurt, scrambled egg- he is not interested in eating but the tiniest amounts, is almost completely immobile, occasionally trying to use his legs, just wondered if i gave him antibiotics if that would help?

Henny I jope you get to feeling better soon.

Well, we sure aren't very talkative! I blame the heat...wears me out...makes me nap...then I gotta scramble getting things done! Gotta make feed in the morning, pull weeds, harvest veggies, water stuff, laundry, and I am sure other stuff!
