Hey ya'll! I'm busy these days so don't get to post much... I really miss those days of hanging out on BYC and chatting with my fellow Okies!

Neecy, sounds like you have your hands full just with all of Shaun's activities - but walking goats isn't anything I've heard of before...guess it's no different than walking calves or pigs though...

I can't believe all this talk of school already! Summer break seems to have gone past so fast!

KT my girl. I hope you get to feeling better soon. I hope you're not wearing yourself too thin!

Hi Charley/pepper! Good to see your post and hope everything is good up Mohawk Park way. I envy you being able to have all those chickens. It's a good thing I don't have an incubator...

I sure enjoyed the nice, cool, less-than-95-degree weekend here!

Hope everyone is having a good Monday night...

Wat up!! fellow sooners :

My internet has been down most of the night and it just came back up, man did I have the joneses for my BYC. I had to snuggle with the wifey for a bit instead Sheesh LOL. What is everybody up to??.

REGIONAL WEATHER DISCUSSION...
STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED TO DEVELOP AND MOVE TO THE
SOUTH-SOUTHEAST ACROSS NORTHERN OKLAHOMA AND SOUTHERN KANSAS THIS
EVENING. AT 10 PM...THE STORMS HAD MOVED TO NEAR A FORT SUPPLY TO
RED ROCK LINE. THE STRONGEST STORMS WERE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HAIL
TO THE SIZE OF HEN EGGS AND STRONG WINDS.

Ha! "hail the size of hen eggs" is a new one to me! Bantam pullet or LF Leghorn size?

Maybe the weather people should choose one genre to use when describing possible hail - the guy on Channel 8 here just said "nickel to golf ball sized hail." I think they should choose sports, currency or animal references, and not be able to mix them. I always liked that rabbit-pellet sized hail, myself.

Most of our hail reports come from local farmer spoters in the dark, I play golf every sunday and never see any overall wearin farmers on the course LOL.

You both are terrific....

I think I have better friends on the internet than I do in person...

On the other hand... that might say something about my quality of life!!

See you guys.... have a blessed night. <><

Hey, Gardner Guy Al - do you know how to tell when a cantaloupe is ready to pick? I have one in my garden that's a good size, but I have no idea if it's really ripe yet. I also have 3 big acorn squash that I don't know when to pick.

While Al is gone making a sandwich we can talk about him. Although if no one else is on here, I'll just be talking to myself...but that's okay because that's what I do most of the day. I look at the cats or dog while I talk, though, so people won't think I'm crazy, they'll just think I practice active communication with my pets.

But back to Al. I'll bet his sandwich has tomato and maybe some bacon on it.

Al lives in Elgin, OK, which is not far from Rush Springs. When my folks lived in Duncan they told me that there were some good watermelon farms in Rush Springs. I wonder if Al will have a little bit of watermelon on his plate next to his bacon and tomato sandwich. Personally, it's too late for me to eat. Unless it's ice cream - it's always a good time to eat ice cream.
(going to check freezer for ice cream)
