Hello everyone! Glad to see the Fall POOPS has been scheduled. I was sure hoping it would be the 3rd Saturday in October though ... could have celebrated my birthday then. I'm not complaining though. I'll just have to forget that birthday anyway. It's the big one
We made it home from the Afton Poultry Swap, but I don't know how. Gerald and I were both exhausted, I hadn't had a day off from work in a couple of weeks, less than an hour of sleep the night before, and Gerald started falling asleep on the way home while driving. I had to drive his old truck, which I absolutely hate. I only had to turn around a few times when I-44 veered off to another direction too soon. And, I guess I didn't hit anyone, but it was a miracle that we made it home. I slept 8 hours straight, then went back to sleep for another 6. I sure needed it! Luckily I was well rested before I read the letter I received from the I.R.S. saying that I owe $35K in back taxes including penalties & interest.
I guess I'll be making an appearance at the I.R.S. office in Oklahoma City soon to discuss it with them.
We had fun at the Afton Swap and had the pleasure of meeting Quenston and his son. We even took a couple of Quenston's roosters off his hands, since he was upsizing with silkie chicks
The weather was great on Saturday, and we bought some homemade baked goods from some Amish children and we finally bought a trio of blue splash bantam cochin chicks with a frizzled roo. I almost bought some peafowl chicks .... wish I had .... but kept putting it off until it was too late and the guy packed up & left
My dear, sweet Egg Man will be having a colonoscopy on Wednesday. I'm the designated driver, so I get to take off work to go with him. I dread having to go thru one of those ever again, but it's about time for me to have another. My mom had colon cancer, so I guess it could possibly be hereditary.
