Thanks, I believe you may be correct! That was a good link. I posted a rather wordy reply to you, with links about Pel-Freeze processing chickens. It is on the thread Chicks & Chickens-Buy, Sell, Trade.

Carla, that is so exciting!!! Congratulations! Goodness, you just keep getting all kinds of babies.

lashawnb, definitely a Light Brahma roo! And the hen next to him in that first picture is a Dark Brahma. I used to have Brahmas.

Just wondering... Has anyone had their gallbladder taken out??

Just wondering... Has anyone had their gallbladder taken out??

My mom has.....one of my sisters and me next month.....

My family seems to have a thing with gallbladders!

All are fine and are actually happier without them. Momma can eat things she couldn't eat before the surgery.

Are you having probs with yours? It is a relatively easy surgery according to them. My sisters was outpatient, momma spent the night. But both claim it was a fairly quick recovery.....I sure hope they mean it, I have six kids, so I can't be down for too long

Thanks everybody! I look forward to being a Grandma! I was beginning to think my daughter & son-in-law might wait until they were too old, lol ... they are nearly 30!

My daughter mentioned that she's already older than most of her co-workers that have children, and she'll be nearly 50 before the child is out of high school. I think it's funny that she's feeling old already. That makes me ancient!

I hope all you future gallbladderless folks have a rapid and easy recovery

Carla, it is just me and my little sister in our family. My sister just started her senior year of high school. Both our parents are in their mid 50's, and my sister still thinks they're cool.

Geckomama, hope all goes well with your surgery! Everyone I've talked to has been back to normal in about three days, so I'm not too worried. And six kids just means six extra helpers!

Thanks for all the gallbladder info everyone. I go Monday to see if I will be having mine out.

I was having surgery this time last year. I just can't get a break! My doctor said 'I know you think you're pretty young to be falling apart already.' *ha*

This is a cross post..Just in case some local Okies needs some chicks
lol.png
( like we all don't)

I have some chicks that are between 2 and 4 weeks old..
RIR and RIR cross with BR I can never tell them apart they may be domineckers
and RIR crossed with Brahmas light and dark

I only have one RIR rooster and he runs with all the hens.

I am just west of Ft. Smith

Wow Bricker, you've been extremely blessed!

I'm thrilled to be given the opportunity to be a grandparent. I am SO looking forward to it. Of course, I'll encourage the grandbaby to be an animal lover

Well of course there Carla, Daughter and her B/F and grandson came out yesterday and daughter was scared to death of my chickens, grandson was in the big middle of them letting them crawl all over him. He called him mom a scaredy cat.
