Evening! - been playing with birds, kids, and school stuff! I am ready for this being behind and being tired thing to stop!

Teach my kids dont start back to school till Thursday and I am sorry to say that I am ready!!! I got a chance to go out and wrestle with my birds tonight they are now officially mad at me and look the other way when I come around lol

rodriguez I am sorry to hear about the difficulties you are having getting your horse back wish there was something more that I could do but if there comes a time that you find it and need some back up to get it back you just give me a hollar!!!

NNNNNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The electricity keeps flickering and I have two bators running!!!

For some reason the temps keep spiking today. The have remained fairly constant for the past three weeks and suddenly they decide to spike. I thought the guineas were roasted this morning, but when I candled they were still moving.

I've got plans if electricity goes out (jack the battery backup from the computer, its good for a couple hours

) but what do I do about the temps?

We love the little beggars...just make them bathe regular...those teenaged ones stink!!!

We had some strange storms go and going through here...lots of noise and lightening but nothing wet. Throw a towel over the bator helps hold in the temp...you will be surprised how well it works plus figure it is just mom's time to eat drink and poop!

I am off to bed! Gotta remember to shave in the mornings!

Get your comforters back out of storage and place over the bators. May delay the hatch a little but they will be fine. Even if the electricity is out for hours.

I'm not worried about the power. I've got that covered. I'm worried about these temperature spikes. They are fluctuating by two whole degrees.

It goes up and I have to open the lid to let the heat out. (Luckily no lockdown yet.) I keep turning the thermostat down but just keeps going up.

I can't wait until my forced air bator arrives. I was going to start duck eggs but I think I'm going to just move all of the remaining chickens and guineas into it once it is regulated. That's if any survive until then.

How long have the eggs been in?

I will run my bators for a day to check temps before adding eggs. Then after I add the eggs the temp will go way down and won't come up fully for about half a day as the eggs warm. I learned early on that I am not to mess with the thermostat during this period.

On the horse problem
My family are ropers and rope all over the state and work sell barns. They are known from one end of this state to the other and several states around. Plus they know horses and who riding what.
They are Tarzan,Short,Dickey Ray,Bow and Cowboy Foreman. Paul Lee is up North but still makes all the roping es. Corbin Warren and Cowboy work the Tulsa sale and Stillwell. We also the friends that own the horse sale at Leach and go all over to sales
Dale Blisard. Justen Bliszard is also a roper.
I am printing this photo and giving it to all of them but a name of the man and what the horse is called would help a lot. He got to have current health papers too. Have you checked Vet in the area?
And we personal friends with Delware County Sheriff so will talk to Jay about it when I have some names.

Once again the storm split and pretty much went around us. About 1/4 in of rain and probably 40mph winds here at the house for about 5 minutes. That storm that stayed over Blaine co. was a tough one though. We were out at Loyal loading more stuff and was watching that big wall cloud for a long time. Some places up north looked like they got hail for an hour or more.
