I see you have gold campines. I saw my first silver and gold bantams on eggbid a few monthes ago. I can't wait to get some of those. The silvers were really pretty.
Is the butler a variety of bobwhite?

Butler's are supposed to be the biggest quail ever developed but I have never seen a live one. And yes they are a Bobwhite variety supossedly bigger than Northerns and Georgia Giants.
I used to have Silver Campines too but sold all I had last year.
Mine are standards not Bantams. I haven't seen those yet.
I have had a hard time raising them this year. Hopefully I can do better next year

Gerald and I went to the Blanchard auction tonight and saw several familiar faces and we enjoyed visiting with Rebecca most of the evening. I can't believe we didn't buy anything but one cage! At least Rebecca bought some nice birds, so it was almost like we bought some

We sold lots of veggies and eggs & several birds though and had a great time too. I think going to a poultry auction on a Saturday night is almost as good as date night. Well, maybe even better

Sadly, we learned that the father of Blanchard auction owner, Jerry (aka auctionlover) passed away yesterday. Our condolences Jerry.

Carla - I can't believe the owner passed away.

Wish I'd remembered the auction was today, I would've gone!

dachsunds - I'm not sure what's gonna happen to me now. I thought I was done with the confusing parts of my life but apparently not. *haha*

Good morning Okies,
Now that I have spent 30 minutes getting caught up on posts, it is time for me to get off and get ready for church.
Ya'll have a wonderful day and I will catch up on some more this evening.

couldnt sleep in if I wanted too after that hot date last night with my hubster, Hubby was already up and at em heading to Home Depot to swap the studs we accidently grabbed for the right timbers we needed for our coop... along with a few other purchases.. HA HA..

Praying for a cool day today...

Things are great in the panhandle...eggs over easy and a shirt with marlin and flowers and I am ready for church! I get to listen today. I think next week we will go listen to City's dad...well...I will. the wife is teaching Sunday school..Darn it...forgot about that...gives me an excuse to see my animals on the weekend.

Forgot if I mentioned it or not but need to get my hands on a couple full sized hens. Buddy has some young birds that are confussed about the egg laying process and drop them whereever they are! Thought some older birds might show them how it is done correctly! Silly birds!

Here are a couple of good songs to set the mood for today. Both are done in the native Cherokee and beautiful.

Both are done by a group called Walela.
