Andrea,
I am glad things are well.
With all of the stuff going on planning for the fall event, it has been much busier on the board.
I would like to respond to every post but it just isn't possible with as much as is going on now.
So you went with eggs instead of golf balls huh? Good choice, we have enough golfers in the world already and not near enough chickens.

Let me know how the hatch goes.
Is Farmer's Feed store still open in Sapulpa? I used to go there a lot.
Blessings,
Monty

Bigokie, prayers sent for John and his family. Prayers also for his friend and family. One of my best friends from high school died the same way with a tractor. To witness something like that is unimaginable.

Big Okie - Such a tragedy. Our thoughts are with all of you.

Quenston and Big Okie - What are your thoughts about all this
rain and going to Afton tomorrow? Are you still planning to
go? We got another round this morning and they say a 30%
chance tomorrow. We have never done any good on Sundays
and I figure it will be the lake crowd out there Monday.....
At this point, we're still planning to try it.

Sounds like everyone is busy, busy, busy..... We sure are
around here.

All this "permit" bit is really curious to us. We went through
all this for several years with ringneck pheasants, (only the
ringneck required a permit), and Butler Bobwhites (nothing
required on the Coturnix) and the Chuckars. There's obviously
confusion out there within the Agri Department........

Hope everyone has a beautiful day.

Monty-

I love the people at FF but, they don't sell chicks anymore. The man that use to handle them is in poor health and cannot handle the burden of it.

I cannot say I will post to all questions as I only have so much spare time, as do we all.

I have been enamored by black copper marans and I have 4 pullets and had 2 roos but due to a RACOON (may it rest in peace) I only have one roo now. I think, when I graduate in 20 years LOL, I would love to have only these birds. Wow they are just stunning. The roos are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen.

Off to homework and school.. God Bless everyone

grace how are you going to do the raffle...??? seperate tickets for each individual item???? or more like door prizes 1st ticket drawn is for item#1 etc... really i pointless question i know but curious... since we are doing the donation auction also...

Hey Andrea! Let me know how your hatch goes with your broody. I may end up getting eggs from Sred, too - I just had a Buff Orp go broody. She is pouting in the hospital coop now, but Cuban Longtails told me it took her two months to break a broody once, and I don't know if I'll be able to hold out that long. It's funny you should mention Black Copper Marans - last spring when we all had little peeps and I was reading up on all the different breeds, BCM was one that I thought I'd want, too!

Your poor friend. To witness something that terrible. I often wonder how God decides who is tough enough to take stuff like that. Some questions just have no answer here in this life. I pray that God will give John perspective in time. No one gets over something like that quickly. I pray that God will provide for the victim's family, and for grace and strength to get them through.

We are never guaranteed a tomorrow.

I love all you Okies.... and treasure your frienships.
