Hey everyone...I started having major rooster drama today... If I develop brass cajonies by tomorrow I might attempt to process this big fella....

If not might just shoot him with the .22. He is picking on my OEGs which makes the main roo mad and puts holes in the OEG.... Gotta take my Mom to the docs in the am..... It is a scary trip for her.... Don't know what those two subjects have in common....

Hey....kinda quiet on here.....gees, don't everybody get this
"crud".......TJ is trying to come down with "something".........
How many "hot soapy water w/bleach" hand washing tubs
are we gonna need for POOPS. Seriously guys, EAT your
vegetables, take your vitamins, and take care. Seems the
schools are having a time with this stuff. I checked today and
I can't get my bunch "shot" until the first of October.....?????????
And, that's just the normal flu shots......................

Dr. OZ.....if any of you pay any attention to him....said on The
View today......take a vitamin D supplement..... Seems we're not
getting much vitamin D from the sunshine around here lately........

Hope all are well and just busy. Yup, POOPS is coming !!!!!

Have a good one !

hey guys, my silkie roo has thoughts of romance towards nimi the duccle pullet, now she is fast and out hops him, but the problem is he is pecking her head and she takes off, is he just a little dense? she runs and hides behind anything she can find to get away...

we have an incredibly soggy run, do chickens catch cold if they are out in the rain?

okrobin - Sounds like little kids on the playground. Ya know, you push around the one you have a crush on. Lol. I really have no idea what the deal is with your little roo, but that would be a cute match!

Henny - Hope all goes well with your mother's appointment. And with the rowdy roo.

That roo is a Modern Game Bantam. I think it would be considered Mottled. It's white & black. I told Grace to watch him. She caught me checking him out. I was about to grab and run with him but I would have lost all of my chickens!!! So I rethought the situation and just admired him. He is very nice looking though.

He is a cool roo, too. He was in my first hatch under Mrs. Squeaky. He just can't seem to get his groove on and not freak out his victim.... no one just complies...... Then Rex runs up on his white horse and opens up a can.... poor Barney... he just can't seem to score without violence ensuing.....

you've got a point- i think they would have beautiful chicks- he does that little dance and then will nail her head...dummy...here is the roo and nimi

She is my broodiest hen. She is some sort of game hen. She's purebred but was part of the hatchery surprise batch. I have found many of the game hens look so much alike. Her last babies are about 3 months old and she already has more hatching so I believe that's pretty broody. So she is my little incubator and she runs cheap. She's definitely a keeper!

I've been trying to pickup the Fayoumi for about 3 weeks now. It's finally happening tomorrow. I just have to brave Dallas traffic to get them. That's okay. DC taught me how to drive in the metro. Tomorrow, I will have 10 Fayoumis in all. I'm working on a Fayoumi flock!
