Grace - Great pictures, congrats again! Maybe I missed this, but do you help with the setup and everything at your fair? Looks like a big fair, bigger than my county fair was!

Dang it, how did you guys guess so easily? Its cuz you're going isn't it?

I don't setup or tear down, but I do just about everything else

I help register birds and get them put in the right cages. Then, all during the fair, I stay and help keep 357 birds and rabbits fed and watered

Lots of blue, Grace! You are so organized. That would be a cute photo spread. I'm sure with your creativity you could make it work. (Before, During and After show time)

I have a hen hatching babies right now. She has a Buttercup, white Yokohama and I believe a possible red blue Yokohama. It looks bluish so I'm assuming that it will be the color of Dad. I wonder if the hen will notice the Buttercup is "different"...

Tomorrow, I pickup some more Egyptian Fayoumi. They are born and raised Texans but I'll convert them to Okies.

I have some Dutch bantam eggs coming in the mail right now. I'm very excited about this breed.

I think last time it started about 9:00 a.m. on Saturday - at least that's when a lot of people started showing up. I believe Al is working on putting a tentative timeline together. Last April people trickled in at all times of the day, but I think the exhibits will be up in the morning. Visiting and meeting people will go on all day long!

Sherri, Thanks and yes, I will probably make another project out of it!

Congrats on the babies! Which breed hen is the broody?
Oh, I bet you are excited about the Fayoumi too! I didn't realize you were getting them this soon

Congrats again Grace
What is the roo in between the spitz roo and the hamburg roo? is it a splash old english? Thats the only thing I could figure out. It sure has good separation of color! He would be nice for breeding.
I like your mottled fleurs or d'occles which ever they are. I hope to get some of those. Right now I'm trying to get the golden neck d'occles going.

I've been out catching hens and chicks. We are due the days of rain you all had. So I wanted all the hens with chicks up off the ground. Of course the silkies had to get loose during the catching. They are so dumb! They are in the bottom floor of a three tier pen,That and with their hats they never look up! So as it got darker they could see less. Like to have never got them back into their coop. If someone had come along I would have given them all away!LOl.My old hens were so nice and calm but these younger first year pullets are so wild.
Can welsummer babys be solid orange or do they all look like chipmunks?
