I learned how to repair/ replace parts of cages last night. I didn't think I would ever get that j clip and pliers figured out. Anyone have suggestions for getting rid of the sharp edges on the wire when you cut it? I tried a metal file, but since I was working with 14 guage wire, it didn't do much for smoothing the edges. I decided that the replacement bottoms of the cages could just stay two rows too wide at the bottom, rather than try to smooth off a cut edge there.

It was a great game last night. Your Bears didn't look all THAT bad until that last drive ('bout fell out of my chair when they had a yard to go on a 4th down at the goal line and that big lineman fell on his face trying to keep from false starting). It was just a great defensive game, for both teams, and good defense always makes an offense look bad. The only flaw I saw in the Falcons' defense was how they covered the TEs. You can't put 5'10" 175 lbs guy on a 6'6", 260 pounder and expect him to jam him at the line and cover him effectively down field. Every major play the Bears had was to a Tight End, pretty much.

That bodes well for the Cowboys next week, though, seeings they have two of the best TEs in the business.

So I guess we will see how The Boys stack up against Da Bears, seeings they are playing the Falcons next week.

I have already covered the lower half with plastic to keep the air from rushing up. I also have half of the upper doors coverd. Mine refuse to roost and sleep up by the doors. I also didn't put plywood under the metal roof.....hum maybe I should consider doing that or some sort of insulation. Good thought thanks.

I have a Dremel - may need to get some heads better suited for metal. I am going to look and see if I can find the flush cut side cutters also. There may even be a pair in the tool box, since I just grabbed the first pair I saw - not knowing that there are different "styles"

As a heart attack survivor, one of the scariest threats is any major respiratory ailment. In this case, the benefits far outweigh the risks.
