The price of medical care/treatment is ridiculous. I guess we'll have to live with it though because, people have to have medical care. I understand that it is a popular medicine right now because its flu season but $90 for 10 pill is outrageous. I still have to go to the doctor and get some for my husband and I. I'm not sure how much our insurance will pay. They paid pretty good when my husband pulled a muscle in his back. He got a $30 prescription for $7. I thought that was good. Their doctor appointment alone is around $135 each without insurance. Thank goodness they have it. ER bill from the other day is around $400 to tell me my daughter doesn't have the flu when she does. I'm starting to wonder if the doctor at the ER ever ran the test. He told me it wasn't needed, but I told him that I wanted it ran. She has ran a fever over 102 all weekend. I think the doctor just said he ran the test and didn't. He just believed that my kids were drinking the wrong kind of milk.

Yea I sent an email... inquiring about the Barred Rock Hens, asking what the price were and where they were located... sometimes we get folks that post to the Lawton Craigslist and then be totally far far away...
Thanks to everyone who has extended a welcome to me on this thread. I'm an Okie through and through.
I have a number of chicken breeds, but my main project is Blue Australorps. I'll be breeding the second generation this fall/spring. I have BLRW's and a Heinz mixture that makes good layers. Lovely birds with a dose of BLRW in them too. Some lay blue eggs because of the EE in them. I think some of the crosses are just gorgeous.
Thanks again.

What does BLRW stand for? Blue Laced ????
I understand the reference to a Heinz mixture - that is what I generally hatch

Sounds like congrats all the way around. Better watch out for that hawk though. Hey, at least you have 1 that isn't free-loading and all healthy!
CluckyChikn and good luck with the flu everyone. Dachsunds-glad you had a safe trip.
