The insulated chicken waterer is an interesting idea. I also found it interesting that his coop is over his compost pile, so there is some heat from that coming up into the pen - if I understood correctly.

I have some mixed breed layers, a few buff orps, and some Welsummer crosses that I need to sell. Most of them will lay some sort of dark egg but not as dark as a pure Marans or Welsummers.

I need to sell some roosters too but you know my weakness for those guys.

Most folks hate em but if I could just get them to lay eggs they would be the only chicken I would own.

They are doing awesome! We are all better!! I am so glad that is over!!

Yep, this week has been my resting week. Still not worrying too much about the house, and just working on trying to get my strength back. It really sapped it right out of me.


I think I may have heard of the fresh movie. I think they were showing it at the OKC Museum of Art theater in August....if it's the one I'm thinking of.
