That is what I am aiming for. It was my whole reason for getting the five acres here 15 years ago but just couldn't get the family on board. I am now trying to get back into it on my own. I will do it myself and if they will not eat what I raise or grow.... well, they can eat what they want. I will be butchering my first batch of chickens soon and maybe that will help change their minds lol

Have you butchered any cornish yet? I know you have started raising them for meat but wasn't sure if you had any large enough to eat yet.

If you have a bunch of chickens you need to butcher, you might consider taking them to the new processor located West of Tahlequah in Gideon. They will process them for $1.50 per bird. Let me know if you want a phone number for them.

I know this is silly but where exactly is the Blanchard auction and where is Blanchard? Is it far from here? I guess depending on how Jason is feeling we have him re scheduled for his surgery tomorrow at 11 am we might go if the place is not terribly far.

Pennicillin for mild resp. and injuries that start to look bad.
Wazine for maintence worming.
Ivermectin for once a year internal/external parasite control.
I did find a source for the Hygromycin B, appears to be about $ 42.50 per cc. Think I would pass on that one. LOL
