I got blue golden duckwing chicks from a major hatchery several years ago; however, none was actually BGD except maybe a couple of the hens. Subsequent matings also didn't produce BGDWs, and I understand they are rather hard to produce. The youngsters have mostly been blue reds. A friend gave me a beautiful Golden Duckwing, which I put with the hens I'd kept--a blue red and a hen that appeared to be a BGDW. The six chicks I kept from that mating have now matured into two Silver Duckwing cockerels, One Golden Duckwing cockerel, one BBRed cockerel, and two pullets--one appears to be a blue red and the other a BGDW. I know all these colors can be in the background mix working toward BGDWs. My question is if any of these cockerels are mated with hens of their same color, will the offspring be that same color? Particularly interested in the BBRed.

I have seen some shouting matches away from the courtroom. Attorneys can get into major hot water if they don't display professional courtesy inside the courtroom.

Must have been a dispute that involved child custody or the division of assets between a married couple. Family law is the most emotionally charged kind of law practice there is, in my opinion.

Actually, it was labor law. That can get pretty emotional too, apparently.

No, I'm done for the season. My Bourbon Red turks haven't really started laying yet and now won't until spring, and the DC are still too young apparently.

Speaking of which, those are some gorgeous WLR Cornish you have. And it is exactly that body shape that draws me to them. They practically sceam "DINNER!!!"

I have a trio of WLR but they aren't nearly as nice as yours are. Plus I think they are bantams, as the much younger DC are already bigger than they are.

I hope you snag a few really good ones, and take plenty of Pic's. we should visit on the horn before you take off and then again when your there, I am excited that your going.

I miss Zingo

I grew up in Tulsa - lived over by the fairgrounds. We never drove up there for the fair - we could walk there in just a few minutes. I remember riding Zingo when it was brand new. I was so sad to hear of Bell's demise.

Where have I been? Working full weeks finally. Today I worked over a trailer getting it ready to go to Iowa and tomorrow I put a ball in the bed of a truck so they can pull a goose neck trailer plus have to change an axle on another trailer and pack the bearings.

And on my side work I am putting a timing belt and water pump on a pick-up and doing a rebuild on a 7.3 liter Ford diesel. Have a little Datsun pick-up sitting in the drive waiting on me too with head gasket problems. Need to finish up the truck Teva drove to POOPS too but it is just trivial stuff. LOL

Plus doing the chicken thing and trying to get a little 20 x 40 lean to put up to put equipment in here at the house. We are behind on building fence too, stupid rain. Here in my gumbo I like setting posts during dry times, that way when it rains they tighten up but then when they dry out they stay good and tight.

Al I hear ya there arent many shows in our area and the only auction that is a close distance hasnt been doing worth a darned so I havnt been going!! So now the DW has decided that we are going to start clearing some land out behind the house so it is keeping me busy!!

I miss Zingo, too. I feel like Bell's got a raw deal.
