One out and dried... it's an EE. The other that pipped is still makin' noise, was a tad dry in there so I put a warm paper towel around the egg. Believe you me, it wasn't happy about that at all
Okiemommy - the kitten is doing fine. My husband wanted to know what that creature was in his workshop, that was trying to crawl up his leg while he was cutting wood to make frames for my new cages from Teach - to make me a second rabbit barn. Guess I didn't hide it out for very long

Child's Medium, thank you very much! Lol. Just kidding, I have grown up a bit more than that.
My hubby actually speaks some spanish for work, he'd get a kick out of it. He has brown eyes and brown hair, and in the summer when he's tan, people he has to deal with call him 'the mexican cop'.

Well I for one learned that term from my grandpa who, by the way, lived and worked the same ground his ancesters did since the run of '89. My family is still working and living on that ground today.
As you know Western Oklahoma along with SW Kansas, SE Colorado, the Texas Panhandle and parts of New Mexico were all hit by the Dust Bowl which by the way happened during the years of The Great Depression. Those that made the trek to Ca. had two choices, stay on the land and starve to death or go find work. Most waited it out until the banks came and forclosed on their properties, after all they had no income. No water nor feed for livestock. There was rumored to be work in Ca. so that is where they went. After all most had children to feed.
If you were trying to illicit a response, congrats, it worked. I read your post two hours ago and have just now gotten this to where it is history instead of emotion. Got so hot at times I just had to look up one of Oklahoma's own sons to calm back down. Yep Woody knew of the Ca. trek and the Dust Bowl days.
