I really like the picture of your NN bantams. Very nice! Maybe I could talk you out of some of their eggs in the spring too

Long distance call for "Al"
Weren't you looking for some Tuzos at one time? There are some listed on the new site eggbid.net. Kinda pricey for my blood but you might want to chek them out. Some nice colors of Asils too.

Nite all Goptta go to bed. 6 am comesw early when its already 12.30!

Those are some good looking birds. Do a little line-breeding to get the wings back up and the tail down as slowly the NN traits will take over all the other traits.

Bantams have their place and are great for kids to handle and they can be kept in smaller spaces for less cost. The down side is that it takes 6 eggs to make a good sandwich out of them.

Les I have to agree but it seems that the Bantams seem like they are more prone to sickness maybe it just seems that away but I dont have near as much problems with my bigger birds and sickness as I do with the bantams and it is mainly the cochin Bantams than anything, the only thing with there eggs is I pickle them they are the perfect size for that !!!!

Wow looks like everyone had a pretty late night!!! Woke up to a cold morning this morning and of course the birds dont care they were out peckin and a scratchin like they always do!!! Well I hope that everyone has a great day and stay warm!!!!! The countdown to Shawnee has begun!!!!

Ok, I have to see pictures of these frizzle NNs. That might change my mind, maybe a little. Notice that I'm not making any promises here.

Showgirl Silkies are a cross between NNs and Silkies, refined down many generations. I'll show a couple in Shawnee as well as having a few (not my best) for sale there. A friend from Texas should also have Showgirls in the show. She has really good birds. I think you'd like Showgirls. You can also Google for them and get pictures mostly of hers--but be sure to Google Showgirl chickens . . . .

I'm going to make it a point to take some pictures of them Sunday when I finally have some time off from work. You probably need to see some youngsters in person too. I just might grab some chicks & take them on a road trip to Shawnee next Saturday.

I might even be convinced to sell a few of the newest arrivals that are around 3-4 weeks old.

Carla, are yours frizzle NNs, or Showgirls?

And Good Morning to you Sooner the last thing I heard was that me and Al were going to meet at I-HOP at 0600 Saturday morning, although that is subject to change!! I think that pretty much everyone who is going to stay overnight is staying at the same motel and that would be motel 6, we are leaving at noon on Friday so anyone that is going to be there Friday night let us know and maybe we can go have dinner or something.

Mornin All,

Has anyone heard from BigOkie?? I'm supposed to pick up 10 or 15 of those 10 month old RIR hens today but I've not heard back from him. Sent an email and left voice mail, still no responce. Hope he's OK.
