The pens are kinda like the ones you see folks throwing lare amount of birds in to move them...they are like 2 ft x 2 ft x like 18 in tall...or there abouts...they are made from welded wire...like what you see on those cages folks use to house ferrets or guinea pigs or rabbits...these were built for rabbit pens...I have like 4 single and one double...$10 for the singles and $20 for the double...I know I paid more but I gotta make room and make the mamma happy...heck she is letting me have a flight pen.

darn I forgot the barrels...they are the ones that game bird raisers use for roosters...they have a hole cut out and you put a perch inthere and then you can put a tie out leash thing on the top so the birds have a limited area to mess aorund and can't get at each other...they could have other uses but will have the side cut out...shawn has a cool way to make a brooderout of them...

Cuz we are the cool kids!

He is giving me technical advice ohow to build my flight pen. I am using guy wires to support the netting over the top. It is fairly light stuff but apparently I am gonna get hosed on it. Didn't think there would be that much stress on it but with our winds I might be in trouble. I am hoping that geing in townis gonna help me out. Wanna come over and help throw the net over everything??? I promise hot chocolate and marshmellows followed by a shoving match in front of the fire place afterwards!! My wife makes the mix!

Afternoon all, Mia is watching Desperate Housewives with me online... Normally I would only allow a goose to be in my house if they were injured or babies but given she decided to go and lather her self in icy Goat water

got me bringing her in to thaw out..lol.

Jeannie

I know I know of all the shows I could show her... but hey it beats watching a cooking show online right?!

I don't think gooses can even get wet. Much less freeeze. I have only a small part of one in my coat and I don't even get cold.
Must be another reason you are training her to watch TV.

SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, I just wanted a buddy who would agree with me that some of the ladies on Wisteria Lane (aka DHW) arent all that crazy... Mia was very attentive to the show and didnt talk except to honk during the 30 sec online commercials..

At my house it is a competitive event! I think we already talked about this once...anyways...my newest brother-in-law finds us to be comical in a horrible way...

My boys won't let me eat at Arby's...the sauce makes me rather musical...and potent...

Anybody have any chicken talk to amuse us with? Like why Faeries shouldn't own NNs? No seriously, I'm considering getting some buff brahmas if I find them in my price range at Shawnee. Otherwise I'll wait it out and purchase Dorking hatching eggs from the nice lady out of state. Then I'll shut up about my breed choice indecision. lol

I bought some bantam brahmas at Shawnee one year for like $10 per bird...maybe $15...it was toward the end. Just cuz it gets closer to the end doesn't always mean good prices...there are some folks that will not go down...
