"But I don't know nothin' 'bout birthin' no babies!"

And you madam are no lady.....

Jeez how to tell when the weather is bad in Oklahoma.... LOL

I just took some of the most awesome pictures of the blowing snow...I hiked all around my land. The drifts are 3 feet deep in some places!! The wind actually forced snow through the doors on my coop...

Mike built a 5X7 foot Sam's club playhouse (for the neighbor) that has bay windows and a real door and stuff. It's in our garage. The neighbor wants to try to move it over to her place on a radio flyer wagon....I'm like...I'm not a Phi Beta Cappa... but I really don't think we are moving a 300 lb playhouse...on a wagon...through the snow...after dark....

Hi All, north central Oklahoma is in near blizzard conditions, have two foot snow drifts already, just got in from chores, wind blowing everything everywhere, snow in everything, gave everything a good drink, it seems the mud is not frozen yet as I sunk in mud while watering the pigs, the chickens and pigeons are all fluffed up and scrunched up together on the roost, got er done and got back inside, made about 7 lbs of deer meat into jerky sticks today, have another eight pounds to make into peperoni sticks to go, Jessie just handed me a cup of hot chocolate to warm up with, man it is burrrrrr cold out there. Just loaded the freezer to the max last weekend with home made beer brats, beer brats with cheese, regular brats, summer sausage, hot links and breakfast sausage all made from half deer meat and half homegrown pork, Hope all are snug and warm, TJsNana can you send me that Cranberry Almond Jelly recipe you said you had, I will trade you my Pineapple Habanero Marmalade recipe for it!!!!! Al did you get my message a while back about wanting a pizza crust and pizza sauce recipe???? Would love yours, I want to make up some of the Italian sausage you sent me the recipe for a while back but just didn't get it done yet, what do you think it would be like with deer meat in it too? Stay warm all and a Merry Christmas to all and a Safe and Happy New Year!!!!!

Dads built me a chateau de Hilton for the chickens in the garage. We are gonna get them in a minute and bring them in. I took some great snow pics! Since we are in the blizzard area. I love this! The snow is so beautiful, I've been wanting this all year!

I hope everyone is doing well and staying dry!

Dang it Jim, I am a doctor not a pool man

Jason went and rescued the neighbor although the tractor had to do it... Jason did go with him to finish feeding so he wasnt alone...

Gotta love our neighbor wayne though.. he is one dedicated 80+ year old cowboy to be out in that weather to feed...

This storm is bringing out the worst in my roosters. My Barred Rock Roo lost a fight and is spending the night in a cardboard box in the shop. Apparently one of the Speckled Sussex (maybe both) roosters took a chunk out of the BR's comb. I'm going to have to change his living quarters tomorrow. The wound is not as bad as I originally thought, but there sure was a lot of blood.

Good evening OKies!

City- Glad to see you made it home safely!

It is still snowing here, and the kids are loving it! All I see is white! On the ground and in the air. If this keeps up I will be lucky to find my chicken pens in the morning.

Got in a bit ago from feeding. Wow! This wild wind has piled snow in places it has never been before., and some of my pens are at least 14 years old. ALL my pens and nearly all my coops had snow in them. One coop door had blown shut so the silkies couldn't get in their house. The tarp blew back on the pen of "Soul Stealers" (so designated by Les) just behind the house. The ground fault interrupter had tripped (I should have thought to check it) so everyone had ice and snow in their heated dog dishes and the light had gone out in the SS's pen. All of them, however, have been in colder weather already this winter with no problem. I've done the best I can to protect them, and am hoping they'll be alright. At least a dozen silkies and showgirls were partially covered with snow. I'm hoping that heavy silkie feathering is a good insulator and doubt anyone is wet to the skin, so am hoping for the best. I've never had snow covered silkies before, 'though.

Hmmm. I can't get out the back door. I can barely get out the front, but there's a 3+ foot drift in front of the back door. I'm going to have to shovel it out. Good thing I'd already fed/watered the chickens.

Well no snow yet, lots of freezing rain and sleet tho just what I didnt want I have the generators set and hooked up in case the power goes out but praying to God that it doesnt!! Big Okie how long has it been snowing at your house?

How highs the snow papa?

Three feet high and risin!

I am sure glad we didn't get out. I talked to my SIL earlier and it took them almost two hours to go a little over a mile in Midwest City. And that was on a city street not the Interstate.
I think they finally got the 50 car pile up on I-40 in Midwest City cleared up.
That was pretty close to where we would have been going today.
I guess everyone is off doing Christmas stuff.
Make it merry!
