Thank you very much. I will show Teva, my wife, the pics tomorrow and get back to you then. Here is a pic of a couple of birds she got at an auction. I think it was Prague.

Beautiful birds!

Thanks for clearing all of that up about the cross/hybrid thing. A poultry breeder that the daughter and I bought our BO and RIR pullets from had some and she swore they were crosses. She must have had a good laugh at our expense, because we were wide eyed!

I do NOT want Eric to see these pix, BTW. He's still singing the Naked Neck song. He's disappointed that he didn't get any for Christmas, nor did he get the tools and materials he wanted to build them a coop. He's just going to have to wait for warmer weather when his Popo and Uncle Muncle can help him get one built.

He saw your baby in an earlier post - frizzle? He and I are going to have to sit down and do some serious research, I am thinking!

OK Al, now how many incubators do you have to refurbish and have already refurbished?? Is that like the 5th one or what? Hehehe
I thought everyone was in the process of converting industrial size refridgerators in to 10,000 eggs incubators. What happened to all these gynormous incubators we were going to have for the up coming hatching season????
Hey I have a great idea Al! You and Quenston both convert a giant refridgerator in to an incubator/hatcher (if you get the side-by-side door kind), everyone here on Okies BYC can pitch in and help with the cost then everyone on the east side of the state can go to Quenston to hatch their eggs and everyone on the west side can come to you to hatch their eggs. Which would be totally great because I have come to the understanding I totally suck at hatching eggs. I think this could work. Whatcha guys think?? hehehe
I know, I know

Rebecca : yeah sometime last summer we were on a fridge converting brain storming session that got out of hand, since then most of us have found less grandious projects LOL. I think Less was the main culprit/instigator in that one but I could be mistaken. When will we see you at Cement again ??, Congrats by the way on your anniversary.

Dee I have researched NNs ever since we got our first ones back in 1990. I have spoke to people all over the world about them and shared observations with them. The Nn is probably the most studied chicken that there is but if you do any internet searches be sure to put Naked Neck Chickens in the window, if you just put Naked Necks in as a search there is no telling what will come up.

I still haven't looked to see when I set those eggs... I might find out when they either explode or one hatches.

Although I have been lusting after golden necked d'uccles. That's just wrong... No more space at Chez Faerie. I need to remember to buy feed tomorrow too, and more wood pellets. The coop is flat nasty because they've been roosting up on the top shelf because the ground is freakin' cold, and of course I was lazy the weekend before the ice storm and didn't clean it out.
