How many can you handle?

That will be fine. Do you want me to take the Friday or Saturday? Friday morning I will be at Prague then home that afternoon, Saturday Im going to Chickasha then to the Fletcher auction that evening. I can meet you sometime or swing by and pick them up along the way to somewhere, or you are more than welcome to bring them to me. whatever works for you.

you could use wood shavings or sawdust or hay and it would smell better and you could use in compost

Yeah I could. But the problem is that both my daughter and I are allergic to pine, and having the pine shavings in the house because of the 2 juveniles and 5 one and a half month old chicks is flat murderous on our allergies. Wish I woulda thought of that before deciding to hatch this winter...

too late now, not gonna throw the babies outside in the cold, so we're having to deal. Just trying to figure out an easier way to "make it" for the next couple months.

Oh, and silica litter has absolutely no smell. So it's not like I'll be increasing the stink in the house. It absorbs odors very too, so it'll actually *improve* the smell of my mudroom. Right now it smells like a just cleaned barn, but a barn nonetheless.

Yep, turkens are good chickens ... especially if they're frizzles! My favorites.
