See, I have a 700 sq foot house. I have absolutely NO real counterspace except for the 2 feet by the sink that holds the dish drainer (no dishwasher either, unless you count the manual kind

). The cabinets are laughable. I'm not joking when I say that my kitchen needs to be gutted and just start over. I have nowhere to put a mixer. Heck, I can't even put it on the table, because half the table is covered in bulk items that I can't put away because I have no cabinet space!

There are several of the vintage meat grinders on Ebay right now from $5.99 to one "buy it now" for $14.99. They're all cast iron and not likely to break EVER. I use mine about twice a year. I've not ground fresh meat with mine, but it works great for cooked meat.

When the original owners built this house, the kitchen was small. A few years later they doubled the square footage on the house just by adding a storage room and kitchen. My kitchen is bigger than my living room, but the living room looks bigger because of the way it is laid out. When we redid the counter tops it took 3 sheets of plywood. They had originally used particle board and it had started to mold when we moved in. That was the first thing we did after we moved. It is only a rental, so I don't want to spend a lot of money on it, but I couldn't deal with mold in the kitchen.

See, this guy apparently used scrap lumber, pieced it all together haphazardly, then slapped paint over it. None of the doors/drawers shut, nothing is square OR level, etc. It's really freakin' sad.

That's about how this house is also.

Thanks for the auction info. I wish I could go to Maud tonight, since I really enjoy going there, but I'll be at work. I've never been to the Guy Rose Auction. I guess I need to find out where that's at. I love to go to auctions!

What kind of chickens do you raise & are you looking for anything else?

Grace, are you just trying to get them to you or do you plan on showing them at cement?

She's not going to show them, just needs them to get to her.

OKCarla-

Yes, I really like the Maud Auction also. The Guy Rose Auction is south of Stillwater about 6 miles on HWY 177. Or its North of Perkins about 3 miles on HWY 177. Depends on which direction you are coming. And it is every week just like Maud.
I raise RIR, Black Australops, Red Sexlinks, Mottled, Blue & Sussex Cochins, BB & Spangled bantams. Just started raising some Blue & Blue Splash Marans. I would like to find some more Blue or Copper Blue Marans.
Also have quail, peacocks, guineas, sheep, goats, cows, horses, just about everything! And one Potbelly pig!
