He does fine with the outside dogs. He has been in the house since he got shot a year ago. He has a slight limp because the bullet is still lodged in his elbow. We never really had a problem until we got the new puppy. He got her other eye tonight and is spending the night outside. Luckily he just got the eyelid this time and not her eyeball. She is finally started to get a little color back in that eye, so I think she may be able to see some out of it eventually.

Jeannie - I got the perfect cat for you. He will fit in with the theme of your farm. He is a definite "misfit." He is the other white and black cat on my webpage. He is 2 years old and is a son to the other one. He was born with his back legs messed up. He is named"Tadpole," because that is the way he moves.

P.S. the first one is named Ray Ray.

My daughter's dog just signed her re-homing papers tonight... she dug a small hole under the chicken wire, just enough to help Phantom get juuuuust enough leverage to get out... then proceeded to chase Phantom all over the yard, snapping and snarling and jumping. She finally got Phantom before I got her... and Phantom is now no more. This dog has a surgery planned for next week that I'm still going to pay for... but now I get to explain to my daughter that I'm re-homing her dog because she keeps trying to eat the chickens.

Stimpy... do you still have a shock collar I can borrow?

My dad wants us to try a few things first... for all her "issues", she's a good dog and a VERY good rat dog, especially since she's still a puppy. If it comes down to it, we'll fence the interior section of my yard off from her, and keep the coops in that area. I was considering putting up a kit shed and fencing around it anyway. I just need to keep her away from the coop.

J's dog Lucy doesn't even notice the chickens, not even when she comes inside (I'm bringing her inside to eat because of the puppy's food aggression issues... the puppy eats in the mudroom, Lucy eats inside). She's sniffed them, but that was it.

Also, of course, gb1 (Gerald Blakley) will be there. And I think Matthew Glass is a BYC member too.

I kinda of figured those two were givens since they are the ones running it. I can add them too.

Yah. Mathew has postd under MG

Good Night Les!

Faerie I have 2 dogs and they aren't outside dogs, my neighbors have plenty! I had a couple that was trying to dig under my fence and I talked the owners and they still let them run loose I tried hauling them off to a friends house and they came back from 25 miles away!!! Finally I had no other choice but to kill them after many discussions with the original owners, I hate to do that but............
