I am trying to get caught up on reading, but this one had me laughing for awhile

Good evening every one!! Well we had a non productive day, but I did add 2 more varieties to my birds. Opal OEG and Silver Blue OEG. They are going to need a little work but sometimes you need a good project to keep you busy.

anyone in NEOKLA have any old english bantams for sale? I am also looking for some orpingtons in multiple colors. Last year my neighbors pit bulls almost wiped me out. They have now moved thank god. I am looking to bring my flock back to their original numbers. I am in Salina OK, but I will travel some. Any age of chicks or adults are fine.

Jacksonsmom They are all EE's The two big ones are both roos, the little one a hen. She could possibly be a bantam or is just stunted for some reason. Usually at the young age there isn't taht much difference in size.

Well poo! I was going to take advantage of the fact that I killed it and demand a randsom to bring it back to life. Now my plans and my money are gone!

Yes it did. I've been reading it and still thinking about getting some birds to give it a try. Just enough to stock our freezer. I'm not sure I want to go the expense of getting setup for processing, we're not looking to turn it into a money maker, just want good food & want to try to avoid the chemical chickens at the market.

So I guess at this point I need to find a processor before I go further.

I will be curious to see how Faerielady does with getting her chickens processed at the D.A.R.P. processor by Gideon/Tahlequah. They are still in business, I bought processed chickens from them January 6, delivered to OKC.
If you are looking at buying chicks that develop quickly, the D.A.R.P processor will sell you day old "Hubbard" chicks for their price, which I think is around 45 or 50 cents each, if you pick them up on the day they arrive at the processor, or will sell them to you for a little more if you have to wait up to a week before you can get them picked up. Contact Raymond Jones at 918-207-7181 for more details.

Hey! Ive been running to the incubator too! I have chicks all over the place in there. They keep jumping ship from their trays to go visit the others that have jumped ship.

I won't need it until after I get the Sportsman filled and since I didn't get it cleaned up before the fellow from the Department of Ag arrived to do my NPIP inspection today, I probably won't start filling it until closer to March - so you still have time for at least 3 more hatches!

Set up a little camera on your incubator and run the output into your television - then you can watch TV and just "change the channel" to see what's happening in your 'bator!
