Just remembered he's fasting from the computer. Monty, think there's a way I could get him some?

Its 9.40 milo is 6.10 an corn 7.20 a 100lbs or some wer around that . Calvin said scratch grain was like 10 or 11 for 50lb bag in Spencer.

I don't remember exactly but I paid around $7 or $8 for a 50lb bag of scratch from Tractor and supply in Stillwater. If you buy in bulk, which only takes 20 bags and it can be a mix of different types of feed, they give you a 10% discount too. I have bought 5 bags of starter and 10 bags of layer and 10 bags of scratch and got the bulk discount of 10%. I think they would have also included bags of dog food as part of the 20 too or rabbit food or what have you, but I am not for certain on that. I will have to ask next time. Oh speaking of rabbit food, I have a friend who feeds her chickens rabbit food, has anybody else heard of this.

Hog food is the same as chicken food... Did I get that from someone on here?

Tell me, when kids become teenagers are you allowed to lock them in a closet

been there and wished that! you will survive.... but those years are shall i say.....challenging? i always say those were the best of times and worst of times! hang in there!!

Good morning Okies,
The rain guage has about 1 1/4 inches of water in it. As hard as it was raining a couple of times last night I would have thought we received more than that.
Let's see - for those who plan their lives around auctions, tonight is the Jones livestock auction if you are looking for horses and related stuff, tonight is also the Maud auction. Tomorrow night is the Alex auction and Saturday night is Blanchard. Saturday morning you can meet and greet Michael and Monty at Mary's swap meet in Midwest City, if you time it just right.

In the meantime, chocolate administered to the mother is a helpful coping tool.

Beth, you are correct. When the Bristow feed mill doesn't have unmedicated chicken starter, I get their hog food without the extra calcium and use it to avoid giving too much calcium to the chicks - like they would get if I fed them layer rations. Their formula is about the same for hogs and baby chicks - only the consistency of the grain is different.

Think I could find a new Jersey at the Jones auction?

Jones does sell cows. Most that I have seen go through there were meat cows and an occasional Holstein, but the person with the best idea of what goes through the Jones auction would be NNbreeder's wife, Teva. She and her mother seldom miss attending the Jones auction.
