Jones does sell cows. Most that I have seen go through there were meat cows and an occasional Holstein, but the person with the best idea of what goes through the Jones auction would be NNbreeder's wife, Teva. She and her mother seldom miss attending the Jones auction.

Great! Thank you!

You shouldnt get too many, most people are use to kids at the auctions.

In the meantime, chocolate administered to the mother is a helpful coping tool.

I agree... Keep all kids EVEN teenagers eatting...
I have a 14 year old girl that gets a SMART mouth from time to time.... If food and extra sleep dosnt help we try the extra sleep one more time... Then we say... "give me your respect or your labor" She has a horse that when she is sent out their loves. So she is made to clean poo in the corral, chicken poo, check for dog poo...
If she still is yelling at the family and acting nasty she starts house work with her father...scrub walls, mop on hands and knees...
BUT no one thing always works.. You need to rotate in my family..
Hows the pens doing out back sjarvis? Did everyone stay warm and dry?

Just remembered he's fasting from the computer. Monty, think there's a way I could get him some?

If you go to Mary's on Saturday moring. Other than that you can find him at just about any auction.

Too true. I worried about the Fletcher auction making it until I saw Michael there the other day. Then I knew they had turned the corner and are going to be fine.

I take my kids when ever I go to the Jones auction... Seating is tight inside is all. You gotta get their early if you want a seat. If your bring the kids just think about getting their for a seat on the bottom maybe to be able to have the kids some space to stand and move about. We get a kick out of seeing whats their everyweek.. You just never know...

been there and wished that! you will survive.... but those years are shall i say.....challenging? i always say those were the best of times and worst of times! hang in there!!

It needs to pass soon. I think he pciks an argument just for fun. Last night he was sure trying, he got a little aggrevated when I stuck my fingers in my ears and started saying la la la la. I thought it was pretty funny. I told him he didnt listen so I wsnt going to, so he went to his room. Hey, it had the effect I wanted, no arguing and he went to his room. He told me makes me mad when you dont listen to me, I asked him how it felt.

The pens are fine and everybody is dry and warm. They go to the back for warmth and shelter and with the way they are built the pens dry out faster.

I know thats sound mean and not the proper way to do things but the arguement we were having is the same one we have had at least 20 times in the past year. He wants his motorcycle license when he turns 14. As I have told him repeatedly, No! And gave him the reasons.

1. You are not legal to drive a vehicle until 16 but that state will let you get on a motorcyle that is not enclosed.

2. I more worried about other drivers, if you get into a wreck the odds of surviving arnt good, and if you do survive there is usually alot of damage to the body. Very rarely do people walk away from motorcyle wrecks.

Those 2 reasons are good enough for me. I love motorcycles dont get me wrong, we have one. But Im not taking a chance with my 14 year old son.
