Hello everyone!!! Hope everyone is staying safe and warm!! Up here in our little corner of the state we have had wind and COLD but no precipitation yet. I came home to a Broody silkie yesterday so I stuck some eggs under her and wrapped her in a pen so we shall see what happens, I am going to set another batch of eggs come saturday, well that is if we have electricity!!

The library will be closing at 5 today instead of 9, and we will be closed tomorrow, by order of City Hall. We never close for weather.

While I am heartened by the humanity of it all, it isn't a good sign weather-wise.

Hi Keban, My brother is in Las Vega this week. He said it was cool and cloudy there yesterday but today the sun was out. Much better than here. We have a lot of ice and now sleet is covering the ground.

BarnSwallow is almost walking distance from Cement, and I'm guessing her power is out. Cement is getting the same weather we are.

We still have electric and it hasnt rained in a little while just sleeting. I hope our electric holds out, even though we do have what we need to survive I would not be happy in a house full of kids and no t.v.

You can also use Lemon Juice that is what I use to get the fish smell off my hands works pretty good!

I read the first part and thought

Since I get garlic odor off by rubbing my hands on the stainless steel faucet, I wonder if I could rub garlic on them and then rub my hands over the stainless faucet and come out ahead.

Ke-ben I don't have any Lava soap. I might have some lye soap and will try that.

PSO has 30,000 customers without power, include customers in Lawton. I suspect that Al and BarnSwallow are without electricity.

Oklahoma City Schools are closed for tomorrow. Duh. Do you think that the other schools in the area will announce closure tomorrow also?
