In our family, everyone gets excited when they are taller than Ma (my mom). She is 5' and no change (probably less now...she is shrinking). She can be a mean little thing though. Only person alive that could get me to bring salad on a camping trip...and I mean salad not sandwhich makings!

Way to go! An aunt's job is to fill them with sugar and send them away! makes them be nice at your place cuz you are cool! I am trying to get my nephews into birds. I have no nieces

My Mom is 5ft 1/2 inch tall. She has told everyone for years that she was 5' 2", now she is shrinking or settling in her old age. Still to this day, she is "Yes Mame'" or "No Mame'". My older brother told her just "No" one time. She punched him on the chin, he picked himself up at the other end of the hall, apologized and then did what Mom had told him to do. My brother was 5' 6" and weighed 200#, all muscle. That was one lesson I learned from his mistake.

We lost power for several hours today, and of course during the time we were trying to feed & water all the critters before work.

Gerald stayed home to get the fireplace going and intended to hook up our incubator to a power inverter he has on his army truck, but the power came back on

The incubator had already cooled to 85 degrees in just 2 hours. I think the embryos should be ok still

I guess I needed to experience a power outage from the winter storm of 2010. Gosh, it sure is hard to get ready for work without electricity ... not only could I not see what I was doing, but had no water to wash up & brush my teeth, etc. before work. Oh well, I'll just hide in my office all evening. Well, at least I brushed my teeth at work.

It only got up to around 32 degrees today at our house. Not enough to thaw much, but I did see ice dropping off power lines and occasionally dropping off tree branches. Now, we just have to contend with freezing fog tonight. With luck, the drive home tonight won't be too trecherous.

I just heard the news lady say there's another storm system expected beginning Wednesday .... 2 storm systems, RAIN SLEET & SNOW. At least that's what OKC's Channel 4 is reporting.

ok i have only been back in okc for a year, and never really went to many auctions before. I was told jones was a good place for chickens so i go there wait all night seen 2 roosters go for 2 bucks each so i bought a horse? i know its messed up but we called him scooby the thunderchicken cause he was a paint had big marking of a dog on 1 side son want ed to name him thunder and i wanted chickens
but seriously I really want to go and find good birds meet the local chicken community and have fun. I am one of those city slickers gone wild. I think that is what that old man called me???

so if you know where any are around central ok please help me find them.i need

How are you guys faring?? We have NO power, No Anything EXCEPT IIIIICCCCCCEEEEEEEEEEEE. Well and a new baby goat born yesterday. Her name is Stormy.

Our power is back on and things are starting to melt slowly. The kids are going to be mad at me tonight because I didnt make any snow icecream today and I might not be able to make it tomorrow(depends on how packed the snow is).
