That is the problem with the Jones auction. I tend to come away with pigs, cows, goats, etc. just because the price was right. They do have some nice goats go through there on occasion.

If you are looking for a Boer buck, another good auction is the Prague exotic animal auction, which is held once a month. Goats sell on Friday and the next auction is February 19/20. The auction starts at 11:00 on Friday and there are also poultry and rabbits for sale on Friday, for a fixed price. On Saturday, poultry goes through the auction ring, along with any equipement that hasn't sold. The price of admission is $5 per person, but you may get the chance to see buffalo, zebra, trophy sheep and perhaps even a camel. I have both purchased and sold goats there.

If anyone is interested in the area I have 2 Golden laced Wyandotte hens that I getting rid of, they are very gentle birds and beautiful if interested give me a PM. Will get some pictures tomorrow and post them for anyone that is interested, would like to get $20 for the pair.

I feel for you the only day that we missed this time around was Friday, I just wish that the casino that I work at would shut down like the schools do, it has shut down one time in the 7 years that I have worked there and that was in 07 when we got slammed with the ice and it was opened as a red cross shelter.

Lovely. I see that Norman, Moore, Mid-Del and some other schools are closed as well. I am suprised that OKC hasn't posted a closure yet if all those schools are closed.

I'm burning through what little vacation I have at a remarkable rate. Ok, is there anybody close enough to the OKC metro that will allow my kid and I to go over and look at your chickens or something? We're going stir crazy here... today was bearable because I had my sister's kids. Tomorrow, one of her friends that's like a grandma to her kids will be watching her kids. I'm half tempted to see if Jean will watch MINE too... so I can go to work! I don't WANT to go to work, but I don't want to be stuck at home crazy bored either!

Choctaw-Nicoma Park are closed too. J's 5 year old son goes there... luckily, his daycare is open. My daughter goes to before/after care *at the school* so when the school's closed, she has nowhere to go. Which is why I'm stuck.

Hubby has to take our son who is the father of Jaxon and an older brother in for carpal tunnel sugery, first thing in the morning. Hubby is usually the backup babysitter, but he won't be available tomorrow so their mother is scrambling for day care tomorrow also.
School is going to have to add another week in May to make up all these snow days.

They are actually canceling a few days off and adding three more days to the school year, according to the automated message I just got from the school system. I'm signed up for their auto-alert system.
