You always make me laugh out loud, Al! Yes, our Okie men-folk are quite reticent, conservative and mature at all times. The strong, quiet types.
(PS. I love it when you say "hehehehehe" - I can HEAR you in my head!

The first babies from my second homemade incubator are hatching!!!

I put 5 quail eggs in the chicken eggs when I loaded the incubator for it's trial run. These are the first quail I have tried to hatch. Yesterday was when the quail should of hatched. I figured since I got up this morning and nothing that they weren't going to hatch.

And I opened the door just now to put the chicken eggs in the hatcher and to my GREAT SURPRISE...

There was 4 wet little quail chicks and 1 great big pipper!

The roo probably won't stop being himself and beating up on her, so I suggest you move her and another hen or two that is friendly to her into their own pen. Then you should plan to get another bantam (cochin or other) or two to keep her company! Good luck Robin.

well, she is a standard cochin, but maybe a banty roo wouldn't be bad for her- well have to do some reorganizing, we were planning on expanding the coop- so maybe make it a duplex- barny is really a good roo, she is the only one that reacts like that to him, poor little girl...

Cool...looks like I get two things of arm candy and one is my pet!

By the way...your docie doe...was a Donny Buck!

Al...Monty...thay have been very mean to us...

Doc - yeah..whatever...probably got one of them that Grace's Dad was talking about...who knew there were different types of fans in computers!

Well...gotta go to church now...silly run is a nasty mess

Hey Roy, you handsome goat expert you ...... what kind of wormer do give your goats and how often do you trim their feet? Do they need vaccinations? These are things I'm worrying about on our fainting goats that we bought a few months ago. I haven't done anything for them yet other than feed them hay & grains & give them water. I guess I really should buy a book on how to care for a goat. I know nothing

have to use different types of wormers for a month or two at a type, they make pellet type you can feed them, they build up a tolerance and are hard to get out of the goats system. just trim when needed, when trimmed they should look like a newborns hooves, some grow faster than others, also depends on what kind of terrain they run on. sure can vaccinate, but about the only two things we have ever worried about are coccidiosis and caprine arthritis, most feeds are medicated for coccidiosis, and the only way i know of is to prevent caprine arthritis not sure if it can be treated, and that is to pasteurize and bottle feed the kids not letting them ever nurse from the udder that prevents them from getting it as it is passed from one to another this way.

Carla
and
Al:

Since Carla wants some previously mentioned OEGBs, but will not be at the Cement show, only at Blanchard. I will be at the Cement show, but not Blanchard. And Al will be at both. I think I could shop for Carla and send the birds (if there are any) with Al to Carla

Does that work with the both of you?
Carla, I'll need to know prices and such via PM.
