I spoke to her. I don't think she is going to come because she will be building pens. POCO & I won't be there that long, we both have things going tomorrow. Maddie is showing her goat & she has something to do wiht her DH.

Good luck!!! Its just the pits to lose birds that you spend time and money raising. I hope this ends it until you get the pens predator proof.

I suppose if the group votes to keep it POOPS thats OK, but personally I won't buy or wear a T-shirt that says POOPS. I know, I know... I'm the bad guy, but I just can't do it.

Me, I didn't vote because I don't have anything invested the way the organizers and volunteers and even participants do. I showed up for one for about 20 minutes, just long enough to poach a couple of turkeys. Not really sure I will make it to this one, either. That hardly qualifies me for citizenship.

Just put the kiddo to bed too... trying to remember what all I was supposed to do tomorrow other than pack up the silkies and drive to Blanchard.

BYC does not condone illegal acts. And perhaps some discretion in what is posted is in order, folks. Please don't make us do another huge cleanup job in this thread.

It is illegal in the state of Oklahoma to poison dogs...

§ 1681. Poisoning Animals.
Any person who willfully administers poison to any animal, the property of another, and
every person who maliciously exposes any poisonous substance with intent that the same
shall be taken by any such animal shall be guilty of a felony...

Stray - I checked at the Norman Atwoods today. They had a couple of black with yellow ducklings, but the lady in charge was pretty positive they were not blue Swedish ducks. She thought that one might be a Rouen, but wasn't certain. I asked her to check and see if they will allow individuals to place orders for particular ducks and piggyback on the order from Atwoods. She will call if that is an option, but thought they no longer are willing to do that.

Found a neat hatchery that has some rare colors for some of the bantam breeds. In OEGB they have silver and golden campines and reds. The reds are the color of Rhode Islands. I haven't seen those before. They are rather expensive at $3,06 per chick, but I may have to sell some of mine and make me an order up! Still haven't found any nn bantams at any hatcherries yet.

I sure like the color varieties of the OEGb's but have this awfull urge to just let all the breeds mingle and see what comes out just for the fun of it. I don't show so keeping colors pure isn't a big deal. I think developing a "barnyard" Oegb that comes in any color would be neat.I remember back when I was a kid my dad bought me some barnyard bantam, they were small and every color imagineable. I sure enjoyed them.
