I did this last year at the Atwoods in Stillwater. They had no problem with ordering what I wanted for me. They took my order and my number and called me when they came in. Then I paid when I picked them up.

Wow! We must be the night owls of the group huh! I would much rather have a neighbor that is a pain than a malicious beast any day. I still just can't understand how anybody can be this cruel. I am hoping to make it to POOPS event. I just read that is being scheduled for May 1st. I haven't looked at the calendar, but I am guessing that is a weekend date. I know I am going to be having some finals that next week though. Or at least I think my finals are the first week of May. I need to check now!

Oh so I am the crazy one who is up by choice. Although, I am starting to get sleepy.

I think I am going to go ahead and go to bed now. Although I am thinking of taking a walk outside one more time and try and look for our other cat who is still missing. I am keeping my fingers crossed that he has not suffered the same fate. Although, I am pretty certain he has too. It is not like him to not be here. He is always right here. Never misses a meal!

Kate, I'm so sorry to hear of your heartaches.

I hope you can make it to another Blanchard auction soon to visit with all the Central Oklahoma Okies again.

Jer-man, I hope the races end well and you can make it to the Blanchard auction. But, you need to work on bidding more ... all you have to do is

when you see something you can't live without.

Maribeth, I hope your social director is able to make the right choices in planning for Saturday night

Oh, and to anyone that needs a new kitty or puppy this weekend .... The Oklahoma City Animal Shelter has a Valentine's Special:

Animal Shelter offers Valentine Special
People interested in giving their loved one a pet for Valentine’s Day are invited to take advantage of Valentine Specials offered at Oklahoma City’s Animal Shelter. The shelter will waive adoption fees for cats six months and older on February 13 and 14. Adoption fees for most other animals are $25, which includes spaying or neutering, shots, flea and tick treatment, a collar and a tag. Dog adoptions are still $25.

According to Animal Shelter Manager Catherine English people should do their research before they give the gift of a pet for Valentine’s Day.

“Caring for a pet is a long term commitment,” English said. “Dogs can live 10-15 years and cats can live up to 20 years. Other considerations include affordability, space restrictions, training, landlord restrictions, exercise requirements and compatibility with other pets in the home.”

There are more than 63 cats and 276 dogs waiting to be adopted at the shelter in all sizes, age groups and breeds.

The Oklahoma City Animal Shelter is open from noon to 5:45 p.m. every day except holidays at SE 29 & Bryant, 1.5 miles east of Interstate 35. Log onto the City’s Web site, www.okc.gov/animalwelfare to shop for a pet online.

I'm hoping to go there to see if there are any special candidates for the job of barn cat / rodent exterminator for my barn. My others cats all think it's much nicer and cozier in the house lately. They are so spoiled.

If whatever your waiting for on your porch comes back, please do not post any details, we get the idea. Sorry but this constant cleaning of our thread has got to stop, we all know the rules, and I for one am sick and tired of scrambling and eating crow to get the thread re-established 3 or 4 times a year because of stupid stuff we all know better than to post out in the open

Weather is supposed to be good. That should make a little easier at least. Hope your inspection goes well. See you in Blanchard this evening.
