I have been known to resemble activities like eating an entire pie or bag of oreos or ....... in one sitting.

During the summer and early fall, I love to find Home Grown Tomatoes on a road trip... I usually stop and buy a salt shaker and I will eat them all up quickly..

Tomatoes are good for you. You can eat them until your mouth is raw from the acidity and they won't add pounds to your waistline. We like to attend an auction in Kenta and when I buy homegrown tomatoes, my husband sneaks the salt shaker from the concession stand and eats a couple of tomatoes during the auction.

I would like some more button quail chicks. No eggs, they are cute but those tiny chicks are hard to get started successfully after they hatch.

I thought that was normal! It isn't?

I can eat an entire pecan pie with only 1 glass of milk or cup of coffee, before I take the second breath.

(Peaches makes the best pecan pie)

I think I am the opposite on that. I probably have to have 2 glasses of milk per slice of pecan pie. I love milk! Milk does a Kate good, mmmMMMmmmm. Although I like pecan pie too.

Evening Folks!

How is everyone in Okie land??

Doc, Peaches I am trying to talk the other half into coming to the auction with me. He is really not into chickens but I keep hoping I can "lead the horse to water and drink thing with him".

I did mention the "Death By Chocolate" which seems to have pecked his interest, just not sure if it was enough. What are you all going to be fixing for food? Maybe we can entice him with that.

Ok so my wish list as requested by our gallant Monty!!! Humm I may have to post a few times to get everything...

Sultans (white or black) not picky.
Splash Cochins
Splash Silkies
White Showgirl
White Ameraucanas
Black Ameraucanas
Blue Ameraucanas

I think I am going to put in an order with the Nature Hatchery someone mentioned on here yesterday. During my break I had a look at their site.

They have Lavender Cochin. LAVENDER COCHIN of course I am going to order some. They also have Bourbon Red poults and do not require you to order 10. I will be placing an order tomorrow night so if anyone wants to be a part of it let me know.

Well I better go put the birds up. Stupid turkey still makes me shove him off the fence every night to get him to go in the coop. I think he really likes it when I pick his big dumb bum up (all 30lbs) and carry him to the coop. Pervvy turkey! Be back in a bit

BTW, We are suppose to have some Americana hens, And Americana Eggs... The eggs will be from different colors but pure... I know white, black, red and Blue

Hey Quenston the Favorelle pair I got from you are doing great. Blackbeard is finally not taking crap from the stupid partridge cochin rooster I have anymore, which was actually kinda comical to see since the Favorelles are more then twice as big as the cochins.

Peaches I am going to place an order with Nature's Hatchery and they have favorelles you want me to get you some? I think they are around $3 for pullets and just under $2 for males.
As for the Ameraucanas I would be interested in the hens if they are blue, white or black but have made a vow, no hatching this year.

Let's just see how long that lasts.

Oh to add to my wish list.
Peafowl when there are some available.
