Ok a 30x40 would be 1200 square or even cubic feet but you want to spread 2 inches or 1/6th of a foot so you would divide the 1200 by 6 or 200 cubic feet needed.

Take the 200 and divide by 27 which is the number of feet in a cubic yard. So you would need 7.4 cubic yards of material. Take the 7.4 times the pounds per yard or 3200 for sand which is 23680 pounds. divide that by 2000 to get the tons or 11.84 tons.

BYC folks....I just talked to BigOkie and they have lost absolutely EVERYTHING they owned. He lost ALL his chicks that he just hatched, his bator, dozens of eggs, all the cash they had... (just got their income tax in)...literally everything except the underwear he had on.

He couldn't get to his kids because the fire had him cut off from them in the middle of the house so he ran out the door and broke a window out to get the boys out. They had some cuts that needed stitches and burns that are serious and getting treatment for them, but at least they're alive. Praise God.

He went over to a friends house to post on here and he sent me a message with a phone number of his daughters cell phone he will be using. They're very thankful that they are alive...but I can't even imagine having absolutely NOTHING....and they had NO INSURANCE, so no help there.

The Red Cross has given them 3 nights stay at a motel leaving them only one more night. He has a family member that is willing to give them an older trailer but he is having to fight the city on moving it in...they don't want anything older than 10 years old. Pray that they'll have a heart and change that for Chuck.

I know many of you have offered help for BigOkie and his family. Right now they have no place to put anything since they have no house. Does anyone have any idea what we can do to help them for now? I don't live but about an hour from him and will do what I can if someone has some suggestions.

What about an RV would someone have a decent size RV to let them stay in that they could use for temporary that is if the "city will let them?
