Looks like the radar and all its snow looking precipitation last night was correct, but we only received a very light smattering of snow - that I couldn't even see until the sun came up. Yeah!

Plus, it is supposed to be in the 40s today!

Edited - because the sun came up and I saw the white stuff on the grass.

Got 6 in the brooder right now with another in the incubator ready for a brooder. All cute little NNs. Loading one tray with Asil bantam eggs and I am hopeing to get some good blacks out of this pen.

Think I'm gonna go back to regular pelleted feed after this batch of cracked grains runs out. While I love it, there seems to be a bit much in the way of waste. Dangitall.

Oh, and I think the new australorp has frostbite on her comb. I don't know how... the mudroom doesn't drop below 50ish, and it's not darn/humid in there.

Morning everyone

woke up to a lil bit of snow.. But the sun appears to be coming out and I hope it melts it away... Tomorrow our friend is going to try and come over and do some clean up work on our property, I think I may have him trim up some of the trees that were damaged during the ice storm since alot of our brush is too wet to burn....darn rain and snow

lol.. at least that way the entry way onto our place will look decent after the trees are trimmed and cut...

P&B You got me thinking that we too should get our chickens wormed now while a majority of them are not laying(only 3 were laying during the ice storm but they stopped now

) what wormer do you see as a good brand?

Tractor supply is still nearly 13 dollars a bag. I need to give Bobby a call later on today at Deer Creek Feeds and see what his runs. For the 18% Shawnee I am giving around 10 dollars a bag for it as 4 bags is $40 and change.

What I really need to do is to shoot Bluebonnet an e-mail and see if they will sell to us common folk at the mill.

You can buy the Blue Bonnet at tractor supply?..

We found the 20% Breeder ration yesterday, the feed store we went to normally sells it for $17 a bag... Got lucky and got a deal.. I dont want to pay $17 a bag so I was trying to figure out if there is somewhere that sells it for cheaper.

Ya'll must have a very good and fast fire dept. Most of the time all that is left of a trailer is a twisted up frame.
