I didn't know you was going to read that.

I know what you said,, " What your's is mine, and what is mine is mine." Temperary lapse of memory.

I'll blame it on 'Ol' Timers' disease.

Peaches, I know a family that lives near mcalester that are looking for a gold laced Cochin rooster. Think you will have any available by may? Let me know what the charge would be. They probably would welcome a pullet or two also.

I think we might need to locate a Standard Bronze Tom... James Bond(the Naragensett Tom we were gifted with) just"hitched" himself to one of our bronze hens who was obviously ready as she did the hen squat... eek.. We were going to separate the breeds this weekend because we knew it was just a matter of time before they would want to breed and we are trying to make our own babies out of the guys and do less Hatchery stuff... ahhhh lol.

At first the Bronze hen walked up to our friend who is going to do yard work for us and laid down in front of him... we walked the property and she followed him... then the Tom I think realizing it was his job went and did his business... it was a sight thats for sure cause aleisha got mad he was hurting her feathers and austin thought the tom was not letting the hen breath because he is so big... I had to remind them to let turkeys do what God intended them to do... ha ha

Does anyone have or know of someone who has a good quality Feather legged Cuckoo Marans rooster?
I have one and I have one loaned to a friend but I need another good one for back up. Or I might just put him in the first pen.
Anyway let me know if you do.

Thanks
Monty

Yes I probably will have some, since how I am going to be hatching all the eggs I get from this gal.... I will start saving her eggs this week so that I will be having some that will be old enough to sell as pullets and roos this late spring and summer

I've looked at five book sales at three different libraries, and I haven't found a single book on raising chickens! At one I asked right off if they had any books on poultry, the lady said they didn't, then she said, "Oh! Did you say poetry?" Obviously not a farm town.....
