Yes, I try to get on in the mornings, or right around 3-4:00... and then I get sidetracked on other things

Dad and I do plan on being at POOPS, of course

But I will be seeing you and Lynette and those other two family members in just over a week at Pryor

Good evening Okies. How is everyone doing today?

OKJuneBug, or anyone else that knows Seramas, at what age do they usually start laying. My little pullet is 21 weeks old and I figure she should be getting close. She is so small that I'm not sure she will lay an egg. I really need to get a scale and weigh her. Where can I get a good scale fairly cheap?

Took the kids to the doctor this morning. They both have bronchitis. DH got some cough syrup and DS has an antibiotic and breathing treatments. They are supossed to take their meds every four hours. Does anyone know is schools will administer breathing treatments? It will be difficult for me to take off work and drive 15 miles to give her a breathing treatment and then drive 15 miles back to work. It is a small town school, but I'm not sure they will do it. She may just have to miss a treatment tomorrow. Thursday she will be home with me. Actually she will be in OKC with me. Her follow-up with the hand surgeon is at 8:45 a.m. We will be staying the night in McLoud again.

Hey Monty, you got any more quail that you want to get rid of? DH's uncle called last night and was wanting to start raising some. He isn't picky about breed. We were also looking to get some more hens. I think we ended up with twice as many males as there are females. I just wish they would start laying so I could start hatching. For some reason, we haven't gotten an egg since winter hit.

Rather than risk that the nebulizing machine would get broken in some manner at the school, my daughter skips a breathing treatment during the week days. She takes one in the morning, one right after she gets home from school, and one before she goes to bed.

ETA: She also carries an inhaler.

I never thought about the machine getting damaged. Thanks. I think it will be easier to just skip that teatment. After all, it is only tomorrow and then Friday. She should be fine with out them. She is supposed to be better by the weekend and not have to take anymore treatments. If not then she will probably be put in the hospital. Her oxygen level is staying low, but she isn't showing any signs of illness. She hasn't been coughing and her lungs sounded clear today. I'm not sure what is wrong with her.

got my test results back from the OKLAHOMA DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE they done random tests on chickens at the collinsville swap a couple weeks ago.they only tested them for Avian Influenza with a swab to their throat..i volinteered 5 of mine for it.thought that was pretty neat.the ones bBJ showed were all tested too so i know i have a pretty clean flock

Apparently it's just us tonight. I have been let to my own devices and have been getting into trouble. Oh well. I am the only one awake at home and have been talking to myself here. How goes the work today? Did you get much done? I figure it was probably too wet and muddy, but I hope you were able to get some things done. I know it will take a while to get things settle, but I hope everything goes smooth for you. Did I read your post earlier correctly? An electric heater caused the fire. If so, that is just awful. That is my main source of heat in this old house also.

yes it was a electric heater that caused it.an i know of a couple others from electric heaters also they pull so much juice that the cords get hot an short out.we had this one on a 5 pannl strip with a reset an it didnt work.we dont have gas where we live an they want $400 for propane an that is the least amount they will deliver here at a timebut we are going to have to do it that way cause i will not use electric heaters again

That is awful. Did you have one of the newer heaters with a shut off if it gets too hot? The one's we use have the automatic shut off. I'm getting scared now because there is one in each bedroom. It is the only way to heat this house. It is a rental and I can't run propane lines to each bedroom. There is a propane heater in the living room, but that is the only one.
