hate to sound stupid, but what is this? I'm going to look at some Welsummer and Cinnamon Queen this afternoon and was trying to figure out the pullets from cockerels.

I was looking forward to meeting everyone and talking chicken. Next time! Still have the P.O.O.P.S. thing.

Okiegirl You tie a key(or a nail, needle, magnet, screw, etc.) onto a string. Hold it over the birds back,if it swings back and forth its a male,if it swings in a circle its a female. Its called dowsing, same concept as finding water with a forked stik. Oldtimers say you have to believe in it for it to work. Its 90% accurate for me.Works on animals also.

How is my favorite story teller?

I'm doing well. I went to the dr today. Didn't get any bad news. That's a great day in my world.

How are you Jeannie?

I am doing alright... Blood work came back fine... .. lol..... my cholesterol level was great.. and we use real butter.. tee hee...

but mainly I am doing alot of thinking and reading and gathering up old antique books... just got my 1890 copy of Pilgrims Progess to me yesterday and even though its a alot worn I cant wait to read it.. but first I must finish reading my 1894 copy of Cranford by Elizabeth Gaskel... I love the smell and feel of old books....
