My best layer is a production red (Queenie), so definitely her. Rocky is my white Americauna rooster who survived the coon attack last year. Other than those two I don't know. Most of mine are crosses and mutts, so they won't bring much.

The Shamo in my avatar will have to bring a great price or I'll hide him in the garage until I do.

Good Morning everyone!

Selling eggs are going good for me, yesterday I completely sold out. That is saying something considering I have 30 or so hens. I was planning to set some eggs in the incubator today but I don't have any!!!

I need to do some judicious feather plucking on my cochins to up the fertility (big fluffy butts can be a problem for the chickens...

) and then I'll be able to start selling small batches, right now I'm getting about 6/week (only 2 are laying consistently right now).

I don't know of any poultry related auctions. Let me check to see if that one out by Chouteau is this weekend.

There is one in Maud on Thursday evening if you feel like driving that far. They usually have a bunch of chicks and a bunch of birds.

2 hours. Too far. Thanks for the info on Maud. With bad weather this weekend, and the rest of the auctions being on the other side of the planet, I think we'll have to skip the auction route for this weekend.
