oh! I have heard about that auction....apparently anything and everything is game there....they have had cars go thru and yup...I might have to go...

Hey everyone,

I am going to be placing an order for ducks with Mc Murray hatchery on Friday night ... the minimum order for ducks is 10... I only need a few ducks... Is there anyone on here that wants to go in on the order... I will cover the intial cost of the order placed as long as it be that whom ever wants a duck will pay back at Poops.... as that is when I will deliver them... The shipping date will be roughly set close to that time too...

Just PM me if you are interested in going in on this order...

Robin...I have ducks with my chickens and they don't either one of them care. They all get along fine. The only time I've had any trouble was when there weren't enough female ducks around and I had a couple of ducks didn't care what they went after, chickens and all. LOL

so do you integrate them like new chickens to a flock? another idea i had was to make a duckyard in the chicken run area.... so they can have their special stuff in their own yard​

Ducks are great too. The only thing about ducks is that if you have ducks and chickens in the same pen, the ducks mess-up the water in case of putting medicines in the water. Most of the time it ends up being mud rather than water and you've lost the medicines effect.

We also have one of those small swimming pools that the ducks head for first thing of the morning. Love to watch them splash around in it.

I washed & bleached most of my birds so I think that really helped. My D'uccle was the top fetching bird.

Well, I guess I could have made it in time, I was figuring that I could have been there by 10:00, but I thought that would have been too late

I'll just have to plan on going to the next one. $1-$4 is defiantly in my price range

And that is so neat that there were zoo personnel there!

I strongly believe that no person should have to work 11 hours on their day off. It is just too much to ask of a person.
