Hey everyone!

We are finally back and I must say as much cool things there are to see and do in New York I sure am glad to be back home in Oklahoma. We got back this morning after having to rent a car and drive from Memphis since all flights were over booked or canceled until the 25th. Both Uli and I are exhausted but will get to sleep in tomorrow so it is all good.

Tried to keep up with the tread during the trip but really was not able to. We are a chatty bunch on this site (which I think is totally awsome).

Faerie are you going to be at the Blanchard auction next Saturday? If so I would like to talk to you about your millie fleur cochin project.

Teach - I almost peed my britches reading your post yesterday. Dang man you really need to lay off the Dew. Wait no drink more it is very entertaining!!

Al - Sorry to hear about your oven at least you were able to keep the damage under control.

Chuck- A few quick ways to keep a drafty trailer a bit warmer. First hang blankets over the doors on curtain rods so they can be slid out of the way. Get clear plastic shower curtains and hang or tack them over the windows to keep the cold air from coming in. Heavy curtains will help as well.

Beth - about placement of your coops. Have them as close to the house as possible. In the long run it will save you the heartache of loosing birds to predators. Later in Spring I am going to have slabs poured for foundations to set the coops on and have power ran to chicken yard.

Hope to get to see everyone next Saturday at Blanchard.

Good evening folks. I have been lazy this evening. I sat on the sofa, reading BYC and playing Farmville. We also finally got around to watching New Moon. It didn't have as much action as I would have liked and they cut a lot of the good stuff from the book, but it wasn't that bad. I can't wait for the next one, bring on the Eclipse!

Anyways, how is everyone doing this evening? Rebecca it is good to hear that you made it home alright. I'm sure you had a great time.

I like the suggestions of dark purple or maroon. I also like lime green, but it doesn't like me. Both of the kids look good in lime, so I would probably get that for them.

Combat Action Ribbon?

No. His last deployment they sent the entire battalion to babysit a base (just outside the zone) because they weren't needed at the time (he was in an infantry battalion). This time he's in an artillery battery, and they will be deploying to Afghanistan instead of babysitting.

Oh, can I ask what P.O.O.P.S. is?

P.O.O.P.S. = People of Oklahoma Poultry Swap

It is our get together to make a long story short. You can see pictures if you go to the link in my signature line along with the location that it is held.

WE have a full day of fun that you can see in AL's signature line.

Looks like a good time
