If it's dark Cornish bantams you're after I'll have a pair for sale at poops.

Your American and OEG Bantams are beautiful

Thanks! The AGB eggs are selling as fast as the girls can lay them, the waiting list is 4 weeks long now. I will have some young'uns at poops in all three colors but not many.

Sooner (hope you see this)

Tell Madison I'll be bringing the blue breasted red trio to poops and she can have them if she wants them, if not then I suppose someone else might. Those little hens are laying every day now, I have no doubt that if I left the eggs in there one of them would go broody. Fair warning, she's going to really like the AGB's I'm bringing

Thought I would mention something about the aftermath of my recent dog attack. That little mut killed 12 hens, 8 of them were my really dark RIR's that I hatched from Taterschicken's eggs, the other 4 were out of the Atwoods chicks I bought back in September. The owner of the dog is my next door neighbor & he felt pretty bad about it. He paid for all of them and said he would keep the dog penned up from now on. I told him he didn't have to pay for them but he wanted to, there was no hiding how mad I was about it, we've been pretty good friends since Maria and I bought this place and really good neighbors. I told him that if she came back to do it again I'd have to put an end to it & I could tell that those words stung him a bit but he understood. Two other hens were chewed up pretty bad but still alive, I eventually had to shoot them, so I lost a total of 14, still have 26.

Got in touch with Imogene (Taterschickens here on BYC) and she sold me a dozen hatching eggs to replace my loses for $25 including shipping from Alabama. When they arrived there was 24 eggs in the box, Imogene ROCKS! After the attack all of my hens stopped laying for 3 days, that seemed kinda odd. They are all back to laying now.

You guys might recall that I recently had a few OEGB that were acting kinda funny. They were sticking their necks way out and making a sqwaking sound. Well, Wormed them both with wazine & I shot them both with penacillian and that seemed to help some but yesterday I heard them still making that noise and the rooster seemed to be draggin his tail a bit and sneezing. So I went to Atwoods and picked up some Tylan 50, going to try 1/2 cc of that in each of them and see if that helps, unless someone here tells me not to??

The Marine Corps doesn't have medics. We have corpsmen.

Always forget that I don't have to qualify that stuff here... everywhere else I do.

The USMC doesn't have medics. They have Navy corpsmen. Their current Doc is the awesomeness. But they do train and qualify several of their people as combat life savers, and have for years.

Nope, 2 of the 4 I picked up at Atwoods survived the mass chick chilling of a couple weeks ago (2 of the RIR pullets, and 2 of the mystery pullets). I did post their picture... I'll have to see if I can find it again. Wait, found it.

Morning Okie peeps!

I've been a busy girl! I have been sewing and sewing! Those tote bags and such will be ready for the POOPS fundraisers soon...boy are they cute if I do say so myself. I used all chicken themed fabrics of course. Some whimiscal, others more realistic. For a special touch, I used some of the hand tatted lace my Grandma gave me as trim. They are indeed special!!

Well, I am here but not watching the posts as I am sewing again and waiting for the termite inspector to show up.

Have a good day peeps!
