I know I need a roo if I were going to do that, I'm not allowed to have a roo here, the neighbors have already spoken their dislike for me having my hens. Momma had been talking to someone about how it's possible for a hen to set on eggs that she did not lay.
And what would this
she be? You has my attention.
On enticing broodiness, get some golf balls, fake eggs, or some sort of round heavy thing similarly shaped like an egg. Leave about 6 or 7 of them in a nest box and see if one of your girls will take the bait.
It might take awhile, so be patient.
She has a poofy head, is barred (like a barred rock), and has clean legs. I have no idea how she came about, but I incubated an egg I thought was an orloff's and ended up with her. lol I'm still trying to puzzle out which combination of my birds produced her. You don't have to take her, just thought you might be interested.
I've got a few golf balls around, I believe that the Country Store here may have some Fake eggs, I'm gonna have to call.
What's her age? and could I get a pic of her from you sometime?
